Our 3 acres are on the road leading to Buffalo Point river access on the Buffalo National River. The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. The house on property was once a restaurant and was converted to a duplex to host travelers to the Buffalo River years ago. Our acreage adjoins the Buffalo National River Park boundaries and you can explore around the ridge. Buffalo Point is literally at the end of our street. You can hike an amazing trail called Indian Rockhouse - it's interesting and fun every season. Hikes along the Buffalo River Trail are minutes away, and outfitters are within walking distance - they can help you with rafting, kayaking, canoeing and even guided tours and fishing guides.

15. CinC's RV Hideaway

46mi from Yellville · 5 sites · Tents, RVs
I moved to my dream home and property March 1, 2020. I refer to it as a hideaway because not only am I at the end of town, this is a dead end street so it stays quiet of traffic. Being downhill, next to the creek, I feel, is safer from tornados, as well, the echo goes uphill instead of downhill toward this property. I am learning town history from a friend that runs the historical society, here in town. As I learn things, I hope to share the information with anyone that may be interested. Learn more about this land: Peace, quiet, alone time or get away from the hustle. Located in the Ozark's.  No freeways for miles. Lots to do around and at edge of small town community. I will be setting up the horseshoe pits soon and have board games as well as cards.  I enjoy and look forward to sharing the beautiful land I live on. The front of my property is very flat and grassy, from the creek fence to the front side of my house. Mature trees that line my property provide nice shade in the spring and summer, however, the property is open air. The stars are spectacular. There is no light pollution. (once it is dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face) This is a small town of about 2000 people or so. There are quite a few shops as well as a grocery store, hardware store, a couple auto stores as well as a couple dealerships. There is a drive through coffee shop as well as a couple drug stores available in town. There are 3 to 5 different repair shops around. There is a beautiful golf course, 5-8 minutes away, just around the corner. .   I live in a peaceful and extremely tranquil spot here. A good hideaway, if thats what you’re looking for.  Hide away and recoup before your next big adventure.  There are a few kids around that love to ride their ATVs, bikes, walk, skateboard and skate up and down Conniebrook Lane. We have bike rally's coming through town often, in the summer. Mt. View, AR, the bluegrass music capitol of the world is about 45 minutes away. Beautiful drive, to get there. Scenic overlooks on the way. Wheelchair Accessibility: I am sure any electric wheelchair would have no problem going over the grass area anywhere they wanted to go in the camping area. I hope if there are any issues, it would be brought to my attention and I would make it accommodating, immediately.. I am extremely handy and mechanical.

All guests have access to our clean two-unit bathhouse with hot showers, treehouse play area, trails, fishing pond, and our new hillside group fire pit for evening gatherings under dark, starry skies. Check-in is simple and self-guided, making arrivals easy at any time. Firewood is available for purchase, and kayaks and life jackets may be borrowed—just message us first and return them in good condition. We encourage guests to explore the property’s trails, enjoy catch-and-release fishing, or head to the river for paddling and swimming. The Buffalo River Trail crosses South Maumee Road and leads to stunning bluffs and seasonal waterfalls. With an Arkansas fishing license, you can fish both on-site and in the Buffalo. Nearby towns Marshall and Leslie offer great local restaurants like Skylark Café and Red River Café. Blanchard Springs Caverns, only 30 miles away, makes for an incredible day trip. Dog Policy: We are dog friendly for RVs and cabins, but dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after them. Please note that tent campers should only bring experienced outdoor dogs—many indoor-only pets bark all night due to wildlife sounds, which disturbs the entire campground. Whether you’re here to float the river, hike the Ozarks, relax with family, or simply enjoy a quiet night around the fire, Grassy Road Cabins & Camping is your perfect basecamp for adventure.

12mi from Yellville · 4 sites · Lodging
