Nearby towns Marshall and Leslie offer great local restaurants like Skylark Café and Red River Café. Blanchard Springs Caverns, only 30 miles away, makes for an incredible day trip.
Dog Policy: We are dog friendly for RVs and cabins, but dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after them. Please note that tent campers should only bring experienced outdoor dogs—many indoor-only pets bark all night due to wildlife sounds, which disturbs the entire campground.

The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. Our 3 acres are on the road leading to Buffalo Point river access on the Buffalo National River.
The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. The house on property was once a restaurant and was converted to a duplex to host travelers to the Buffalo River years ago.
Our acreage adjoins the Buffalo National River Park boundaries and you can explore around the ridge. Buffalo Point is literally at the end of our street. You can hike an amazing trail called Indian Rockhouse - it's interesting and fun every season. Hikes along the Buffalo River Trail are minutes away, and outfitters are within walking distance - they can help you with rafting, kayaking, canoeing and even guided tours and fishing guides.

This was my 1st camping trip & 1st time to stay in a tent. We rented the platform & loved it! Love how remote the site is! Loved being in the middle nowhere & hearing absolute silence . The site was very clean & well maintained ! Sad to leave but plan to be back soon!

We had two adults and five kids, three tents. There were three camping pads, one being a platform. One was not level. The site is quiet and close to lots of things to do. You just need to know that everything you do on the site is on a slight uphill or downhill angle. We parked a car up on the hill, where the platform is located because it was easier than going up and down the hill for all the things we needed from the car.

Travelled from the UK for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved LC’s place. LC and Robin are super friendly and welcoming. The farm tour was the highlight. The cabin is fantastic - super relaxing retreat up in nature. Would highly recommend.

This campground has exactly the privacy I was looking for when coming to the area. Located up on a ridge, there are great views of the surrounding mountains. A short walk to a sunrise overlook will have you awestruck. During a wetter time of the year, they even have a trail to a waterfall. We hammock camped and the forested environment was perfect for it. My 2wD corolla was able to make it up the dirt road the campground, although a little slowly. There are a few areas where cell phone service is available if you have an emergency, but it's a great place to disconnect. You can tell the campground has several projects underway, and the owners have pride in making it feel homey and comfortable. Pierce was kind and checked in to see if we needed anything during our stay. It was a great home base when exploring the Buffalo area, and we will definitely be back.

Our annual trip to the Valley of Peace is in the books and it delivered as always. As expected, it's still a valley and it's still peaceful, the eggs are still farm fresh and the babbling of the creek still rocks you to sleep at night. This place was breathtaking, if you love primitive camping & ATV trails, I went camping with my dog for some peace and hiking. The place is huge, the trails aren’t really marked very well for hiking so it was a bit of a challenge finding landmarks. I would highly recommend staying here if you love the outdoors. The owner was extremely nice.

This is one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. I was there in my camper for a week, with my two dogs. So quiet and peaceful, lots to explore and the spring fed creek was perfect for cold plunges. Walter was very helpful and easy to get ahold of. I can’t recommend Valley of Peace enough.

Site 6 was a great piece of property and right next to the running creek made for some great sleep. Stars were unreal when we woke up in the middle of the night. Walter was very quick to respond and bring us extra firewood the first night when we ran out of our own. Would definitely come back in the warmer months for a float trip!

This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal.
Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I felt like my dog and I had the entire beautiful property to ourselves. I was traveling across the country and arrived late at night after a long day of travel, but we were able to still easily set up for the night based on the instructions. The sky of stars, without any light pollution, was spectacular! We had a great time and would love to come back!
