Ratchford Buffalo Farms is nestled in the heart of the Ozarks on roughly 500 acres. Where our Buffalo, Cattle and other animals graze in the meadows and fields and roam the hills and hollows and drink from 11 free flowing springs. My family has lived in these parts for over 150 years ever since my great grandfather settled here from Georgia. This land has been used for may things. From raising cotton, corn, hogs, cattle and at one time my family was one of the largest strawberry producers in the state and always raised a large vegetable garden. I can still remember my daddy plowing this ground with a big black team of mules. For the past 20 years we have raised Buffalo. But the commitment has always been the same. Taking the time to help your neighbor, even if he does not ask. Keeping your word, a man is only as good as his word . Treating people fairly and with respect, if you can not respect others you can not respect yourself. And for each generation to leave the land in better shape than when you started farming it.

Feeding Buffalo
This cabin was tremendous! Well beyond our expectations. A great value, especially considering the beautiful and quiet location. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate us and be certain that we were satisfied! The hot tub was very nice even tho it was quite chilly?! What a fun adventure getting to see, buffalo, pet and a hug an Emu as well as hold a baby goat. I loved every minute of it… what I hated, was leaving.

What an awesome place! So many farm animals & Buffalo! The cabin was really nice & clean! L.C is awesome to talk to also! He is very passionate about his animals & property! Make sure you ask for a tour, he loves giving tours to everyone! And you get to meet all the animals!

Cabin on a Buffalo Farm With a HOT
L.C.'s property is situated in a beautiful part of the Ozarks. The entire road is full of mountain views. We rented kayaks on the Buffalo and did a few hikes. The cabin was centrally located to all of our activities. I ended up needing to take a conference call for work and the internet signal did not fault once during my meeting. We were also able to look up our maps and download them daily with no issues. L.C. was the perfect host. He welcomed all 4 of my kids on his farm for a tour they've ended with a popsicle. We would recommend this stay to anyone coming to the area. And we will be back to explore more!!! Thank you again L.C.!!! Take care!
