And within it, it harbors all manner of waterways, wildlife, plants, and fungi beyond your imagination. We love southern Missouri and hope you come catch a taste of the wildness that is the Forest. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.) The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE. Hardy beach is a treasure of a local swimming hole with waterfalls and rope swing. Camp Cock-A-Doodle is surrounded by tall trees and truly gives you that deep wood vibe. Details of the campground came right from the land. Large rocks collected from the land were used to create the fire pits. The cedar post marking each campsite were harvested right from the land.
