Camp Miramichee Falls is located at the site of the original YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916 as a retreat for girls. In 2019, my husband and I acquired and renovated some of the original Miramichee stone cabins. We are located on the Southfork River, in Hardy, Arkansas. We have 1 cabin on the river and 3 cabins a short walk from the river, up a wooded hillside, for rent here at Camp Miramichee Falls. There are a few other privately owned cabins in the neighborhood and we live on the property. In 2026, we acquired additional river waterfront for the use of all of our guests. We now have even more space for you to spread out and enjoy the river.

Our property offers simple, camping for travelers looking to slow down, enjoy nature, and experience a rural setting.
Guests may stay in RV, van, or tent sites tucked into our wooded ridge property. The land is still a work in progress as we continue building and improving the homestead, so visitors should expect a rustic, honest setup rather than a fully developed campground.

The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. We absolutely loved our stay here! I noticed that some older reviews seemed to be from people expecting more of a resort-style experience, so I wanted to share our perspective. This is a beautiful, rustic, country camping experience—and that’s exactly what made it so special to us.
The campsite is nestled in the mountains with beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings, and several animals that added to the charm of the whole experience. The property is run by a wonderful mother-and-daughter team who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality truly made our stay feel personal and special.
There is also a bakery on-site with homemade baked goods and other items for sale, which was such a fun bonus. Everything felt genuine, peaceful, and full of character.
We absolutely loved our time here and would gladly come back. If you’re looking for a rustic, peaceful country getaway surrounded by nature—not a luxury resort—this place is wonderful. We felt welcomed, enjoyed the beautiful mountain setting, and truly loved our experience!

All the comforts of a hotel with all the beauty of camping! No need to pack a sleeping bag, the beds have pillows and blankets already. Fridge, freezer, microwave, and cheap ice made meals very easy. The porch has two chairs and a small table. There is a cigarette container for those who need it. The picnic table was in great shape and the firepit kept our coals warm enough that I only had to light our fire the first night and it stayed hot enough to cook our meals for the next day. The bathroom had hot running water, a shower, and a flush toilet. That was super handy for our kids in the middle of the night. AC and heat kept us comfortable at night, while the TV and DVD player were a nice break when rain came through. We enjoyed the playground and the walking trail.
Definetly consider this cabin for your next glamping trip! (Cabin 1 & 2 are two halves of the same building. Cabin 2 was empty during our trip. It would have been a bit too cozy if we had neighbors that close. For more privacy, choose Cabin 3, 4, the Squirrel Nest, or the Tackle Box.)

a magical spot in the woods with a great tent and very comfortable bed. if you want to feel comfortable, but still be camping this is the place. the cooking fire pit is very well crafted and makes cooking over the fire easy. it has well made solar lighted walking paths to both a very nice bathroom with flushing toilet and a pond that provides great frog song that blends with so many birds singing we never turned on our music once! nearby enjoy hiking and views at grand gulf state park and swimming at many local swimming holes along the Spring River. a great choice for your next camping vacation. choose this spot and begin to relax :)

Weekend Trip to The Ridge at Buffalo Point
We had so much fun at this cabin! It’s the right size for a weekend getaway with a bed, small Roku TV, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, grill, and fire pit. The private bathhouse was a short walk from the cabin and was nice after a long day of outdoor activities. The property also offers a disc golf totem, swings, and open area to run around in. The location is also really close to the lower area of the Buffalo River. Easily a 5-10 minute drive to anything. Also, loved having Wild Bills, a gas station and convenience store, a short walk away for anything we forgot or needed. Loved meeting the gray kitty on the property. He was an absolute sweetheart and loved pets. Would definitely stay here again!!

Highly recommend!!! It was such a relaxing time. The views are absolutely beautiful, expesicially around sunset! The cabin was nice and clean! Easy to find! Amazing and down to earth hosts!!! It was very quiet and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The private bath house was very clean and very updated. We used the Landry facilities and that was nice as well. We did not go to Buffalo River. We were looking for somewhere quiet to enjoy a few days and this was a perfect getaway. The cabin was very cute and clean and had everything we needed and then some. Thank you Ally!!!

Weekend Trip to Camp Miramichee Falls
Thank you! We had a great time! Everything was as described. Cabin was very clean with some cute special touches. I enjoyed learning about the history of the area. The swimming area was clean, cool, and clear. Perfect for just chilling with a book and a beer. We had the area to ourselves for a bit, which was very nice. We also had full use of the kayaks and floats, which was very convenient. Really nice and enjoyable stay with very hospitable hosts.
