The cabin is equipped with a mini fridge/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, and a microwave) inverter. In the bathroom we have a metal wrapped 22" deep soaking tub equipped with a rainfall shower head to wash the stress away. No glamping cabin would be complete without a wave activated hand dryer a 43" Wi-Fi connected smart TV and the latest plug ins with USB ports included so you can forget that charging box at home. Nestled between Ouachita National Forest property and the Ouachita River, our Haven is a peaceful little slice of nature for you to take a break, catch your breath, and enjoy the outdoors! All primitive sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and campfire grill grate.
Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet.
Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night.
Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms
Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds.
We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper and friendly with other dogs and people. There is a working dog on the property-he is friendly with all people and dogs.

Keep going if you please. It’s 1.8 Million acres of wilderness made just for you! A true hunters paradise teeming with deer and other wildlife. The national forest is also accessible via Roger’s Pass and an easement. Bring your ATVs!If you like spectacular sunrises then this is the place for you. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera! The Legendary Talimena Byway is just a few miles down the road; a 54 mile winding wonderland across the backs of the mighty Winding Stair and Ridge Mountains with dozens of pull-offs and vistas that are a feast for the senses. Plenty of Ouachita’s endless hiking trails can be accessed from the byway. Kayaking the incredible Kiamichi river can also be on your agenda. My husband and I built this tiny cabin with our bare hands. No equipment, no other help. We wanted something to share with family, friends and anyone else looking to get away from this overly modern and exhausting world. It seems places like this available to people are disappearing. AWD highly recommended!!! Cabin is up a 1-mile dirt road, part is smooth, part is a bit rough. Steep, unpaved hills.

The cabin is on untreated well water. 2 gal's of potable drinking water provided.
Wood-burning stove for heat. Please use with CAUTION!

The cabin is private, surrounded by woods. There are neighbors in the distance. You may occasionally hear faint sounds of them working in their yard. A neighbor 1/4-mile away occasionally does target practice, so gun shots may be heard in the distance, but it is rare and brief. Same for hunting season

Family lives on lower part of the property
We sometimes might be present on the lower part of the property, but will respect your privacy.
Grumpy neighbor lives at the bottom driveway. If you encounter him, just tell him Curtis and Morgan invited you. Please just don't pull/back onto his driveway! Please call us if he gives any trouble
My husband and I built this tiny cabin with our bare hands. No equipment, no other help. We wanted something to share with family, friends and anyone else looking to get away from this overly modern and exhausting world. It seems places like this available to people are disappearing. We wanted to bring it back. Hopefully you'll love it and respect it!

Brian was very responsive, super accommodating, and the space was clean, beautiful and just what we needed! Our friends had a camper and we got Bears Den cabin bc we don’t so it was perfect. The check out day was the prettier day and he let us hang and not rush. It was very much appreciated and he was one of the best hosts with communication! Thanks Brian!

We really enjoyed the view from the porch and the night sky! We did bring an ez-up, which gave us a place to hang out during the rain—the porch is obviously quite small. It was a short weekend, but it was the quiet, private place we were looking for!

The cabin has a lot of character and neat decor. It was really nice to have 1.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer! The back patio is nice and large, which was great since it rained a bit each day we stayed. My family and I spent the majority of our days out there. When we weren’t relaxing on the patio, we went on adventures all over the beautiful and well maintained property. There is a nice pavilion, a pond, and plenty of trails to explore. Thank you Miranda for a lovely weekend getaway!!!

This place is so nice! The cabin is clean, comfy, and inviting! The property is very well maintained and so pretty! There is plenty of space for several guests yet still private enough to enjoy your own space. The Buckhorn trails are close and easily accessible.
The Cub Cabin is fun! It’s a great size for a small family! It is perfect for our family of 4. The beds and bedding are comfy, the shower is great, and we loved the hanging hammock chair! There’s a small fridge, microwave, and keurig coffee maker. There’s extra chairs you can get out and use, a folding cot, or just relax on the bed. There’s outside grilling/sitting area is comfortable and inviting! Dad grilled hot dogs on the provided grill, the kids enjoyed playing, and mom relaxed and supervised! Perfect place for a little family get-away!

Great spot for a weekend getaway. The cabin has everything you'd need from cooking oil to utensils. You can stop at the grocery store, grab some food and head down and not need anything else to have a great time.
