This land is very special to me. There are 5 dogs on the property that may roam as well as wild horses and cattle. There are plenty of walking trails leading to different areas of the property, making it easy to stay on a trail and explore. Located about 45 minutes from Saguaro National Park and the Desert Museum; about 1 hour from downtown Tucson. This location is also on the way to Kitt Peak Observatory. We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station. All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing. Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands. In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are. We are looking forward to hosting Hipcampers and sharing our lovely slice of heaven.

Our property is Learn more about this land: Park your RV at our place on your travels, we are 5 min off the interstate! Dirt road is great for walking, some parts of the year people pass through for birding. Some people come to check out the area to potentially move to the area and some only come for the winters. We also have a short little nature trail that we made ourselves. We are 30 minutes south of Tucson, 25 minute drive away from Madera Canyon/Coronado National Forest for some great hiking and bird watching! No light pollution so you can see the stars good at night. Remember the term sky island. Here in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, mountains seemingly come out of nowhere to dominate an otherwise flat landscape. Discover the five distinct areas of this national forest, all of which have their own sky islands. Start your wanderings at Sabino Canyon. Steep rock cliffs and unique desert vegetation follow Sabino Creek, which maintains water year-round. Keep a sharp eye out for desert wildlife adapted for high heat and low humidity. Gila monsters may sun themselves on rocks, while bobcats sip from the creek's water. Discover Miller Peak, the highest peak in the Huachuca Mountains. Wilderness surrounding the area comprises vertical cliffs and deep canyons. Follow an 11.5-mile, moderately hard trail to the top of the mountain. Howdy, Folks! My name is Joel, and I turned my off-grid property into a park. It’s located right across the street from a 3,000 acre swath of Arizona recreational state land. AZ state land is like a state park, but with zero amenities. So, I started building amenities on my property. We now have trash service, compost toilets, running hot water, a shower building, a furnished campsite, a mini barndominium, and everything runs on solar power. We also get Amazon deliveries. The park is only 20 miles from the Tucson city limits, but when you get out here you’ll feel like you’re a million miles away. Your ears will ring for the first half hour while adjusting to the quiet. It’s a great place to read a book, unwind, and take some time off from the mouse marathon of daily urban life. It’s also a great place to bring your ATV, dirt bike, or favorite pew-pews to go play Mad Max Beyond Thunderchicken out in the state land. There’s a little something for everybody if you know what I mean. Night time is very dark out here. There are no street lights because Kitt Peak National Observatory is just over yonder. You can see it from the property. Most nights the Milky Way is clear and visible in the sky. I have pathway lights, and low lumen lighting around the park, but a flashlight is still helpful for getting around at night. Next door is a bird sanctuary with 2 macaws (Blue Bird and Max), and halfway up the mountain (Keystone Peak) is an abandoned fluorite mine you can go explore. We are in the foothills of the Sierrita Mountains, at an elevation of 3,200 ft. That’s 1,000 ft higher than Tucson, and 2,000 ft higher than Phoenix. The plant life is very lush and green for the desert, and the wildlife is plentiful.

Come and explore these 40 acres of raw desert land. The property is completely off-grid, surrounded by beautiful mountains and the dark night sky is perfect for star gazing. The roads to get here can be a bit rough so 4x4 vehicle is recommended!

The mountain rises 3,500 feet above the countrysidePets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

Diamond Bell Park
