Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Purchased this land for my father who loved living on his own in stark conditions. The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. He has since passed and the shack was torn down due to normal wear making it unstable.Me and my wife plan to put a home on it in the future, but felt it would be nice to allow adventurous types to stay on the property for the cheap.Learn more about this land:(Directions at bottom of description)The property is up on a hill surrounded on 2 sides (W/N) by BLM land with an overlook of Lake Mead. Just 10 miles from lake access (downhill) inside Lake Mead recreational area. Also, about 9 miles from Grand Canyon West access point. The property once had a shack on it, which is now gone - some remnants remain. But, there are flat drive areas in which to park (RV ok) and/or tent camp. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. There are other residents in the area, but are far away, but visible (it is a desert). But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful.There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. There is a fire-ring, but you must bring your own wood. There is some limited shopping and restaurants in town (Meadview or Dolan Springs) and on the main road (Pierce Ferry). We plan to build on the property in the future, but wish to share it with others until then. My wife and I moved out to the Arizona Desert in December 2020 from New York City after owning a vintage shop in NYC and working in the event and entertainment industry for 20 years, with the dream of opening up a cool desert retreat and here we are! The Camper is fully restored and functional. Located on a fenced in acre adjacent to our main property. The 20,000 Btu Air conditioner cools it down fast in the summer. We provide electric heaters for the colder months or if requested. Sorry NO PETS allowed. You'll have the 1 acre lot all to yourselves. Enjoy the incredible starry nights under our Joshua Trees. Please keep the main gate CLOSED. Once the cattle gets in they are hard to remove. Located in Dolan Springs Arizona. The Gateway to The Grand Canyon West Rim and Skywalk. Just pass the Grand Canyon is Lake Mead South Cove and the Colorado River. Amazing scenic drives and BLM wilderness. We are located directly off the main road Pierce Ferry, 4WD not necessary! If you are staying for more than 1 night you will receive complimentary RV/Camper maintenance and water refills. You'll only see us if you NEED to see us. Nestled between Joshua Trees and surrounded by other cactus species. There is a private outdoor sofa area, a covered deck, propane fire ring in the fall and winter October thru May. The camper is connected to shore power and WiFi. Your water supply is onboard. 35 gallons of fresh water and a 5 gallon hot water tank. Make sure to adjust your shower regimen. The bathroom has plenty of towels, a first aid kit, body wash and everything else except shampoo. The kitchen has pots and pans, A toaster, Microwave, 3/4 gas Fridge and gas Stove. The bed is super comfortable memory foam and has down alternative comforters and pillows. No open wood or charcoal fires please. The desert winds can pick up at any moment and turn open fires into disasters, fast. This area is great for hiking! We are less then 20 mins from the densest Joshua Tree Forest in the world and 40 mins to the entrance of the Grand Canyon West rim. Dolan Springs Trail system is also very close with plenty of multi use built trails. Hiking, biking horse back riding are all allowed. I ride my MTB thru the trail system and it can be fun if you know what your doing. If your interested in riding a loop or two, please ask. I have developed a fun little ride and the best part is I leave from here! If we plan ahead I can take you on a tour. There is also great MTB trails in Kingman, Az. We are located: 1 hour from McCarren airport In Las Vegas. 1/2 hour from Willow Beachdf 5 hours from Los Angeles 3 hours to Zion 3 hours from Phoenix and 3 hours to Grand Canyon National Park. High desert. Great for camping and getting away to cooler weather. You can pitch a tent, park and camp, park a moving mobile home car/van. Camping is the best. Firewood everywhere for campfire and cattle roam freely. Please clean up after yourself and do not leave a mess. Respecters of Mother Nature welcomed! Flagstaff and Prescott are 30 minutes away. Little town off Route 66 has home made pie and food on the way to property! Have fun relaxing in nature!

Primitive camping! This 2 acre property is on flat, open, desert terrain and is accessed off road, so please be sure your RV or vehicle can drive off road. Located off I-40 ( old Route 66 ) in Holbrook, Arizona. No power, toilet, water, or sewage. You will need to drive ~1 mile or so off road to get to the provided coordinates.Just 49 miles away you have Castle Mountains National Park. You'll need a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle to get into this extremely remote national monument in the eastern Mojave Desert. Accessible only by dirt roads, Castle Mountains is surrounded on three sides by the Mojave National Preserve. It's the northernmost of the desert region's three new national monuments designated by the President in 2016. This park in northeastern San Bernardino County protects 20,920 acres, located between the interstates I−15 and I−40. There are no facilities, developed campgrounds, or established trails within the monument. Backcountry camping is allowed. Castle Peaks is one of the stars here—a cluster of imposing spires that climb skyward. The peaks are composed mainly of volcanic tuff, and the deep erosion of the rocks has created distinct, sharp summits. You're also rewarded for your efforts to get here by lush grasslands, Joshua tree forests, mountain vistas, and abundant wildlife. The rugged Mojave Desert is home to mountain lions, bighorn sheep, golden eagles, coyotes, and bobcats. Castle Mountains National Monument is always open, but the best times to come are spring and fall. March and April are peak times. The spring rains turn the desert into a carpet of vivid, vibrant wildflowers. Summers are very hot, with daytime temps in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
