The property is surrounded by juniper and pinon pine. There is a gravel driveway into the property but there are no designated pads or places to set up camp so pick something that suits you. There is good cell service with all 3 major carriers and limited WiFi is also available. There is sometimes potable water available but in a limited amount. There is firewood available and plenty of rock to make fire rings. We are a dark sky property for stargazing and astrophotography. Plenty of places to hike and explore. 3.6 miles from the paved highway, Hwy 61. 22 miles from Show Low and 45 miles from the Petrified Forest. Many White Mountain sightseeing options in the area.

Weekend Trip to Two Heavens Hideaway

Great remote setting and only about 14 miles from St. John's AZ. I really enjoyed the solitude. Jeremy is a super hoste. He made sure i found the location. The site is questionable for a large RV but for tents, popups, campers etc okay. My Siberian Husky loved running loose.

1 night at Off the Beaten Path

When we got to Tracy’s, the hostess’, Hipcamp location, she showed us a few options for camping. We were not actually campers, just traveling through for one night on our way to the Petrified Forest. We were her very first campers, and she was so, so accommodating. We stayed at the carport at her husband’s office, and it was all we needed. It was perfect for us. Having said that, and although they own lots of land, based on our stay, I would suggest that this is not a recreation area unto itself, but rather a location from which to find recreation areas. For us, it was only 35 minutes from the Petrified Forest, so again it was perfect. And finally, the hostess is a gem of a human being, so lovely and accommodating, and I would highly recommend her Hipcamp for any traveler looking for a safe overnight for their travels.
