The platform tent site at Weary Traveler Haven was clean, beautiful, and incredibly peaceful—exactly what we were hoping for over the holiday season. Communication with Taylor was excellent from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free. We truly enjoyed the quiet surroundings and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing tent- camping getaway. The distant coyote serenade at night was our absolute favorite part of the stay! We look forward to coming back in the future! 🏜️

I have had the best time here for a month long stay - the space has shade and cement platforms, firepits, water and electric. The groundskeeper is super responsive and upkeeps the property perfectly! Office/Shop w plenty of goodies. And spacious laundry room! Clean bathrooms w spacious showers. Gorgeous sunsets and charming chicken coop w emus. Excellent spot! Not much privacy for tenting - lots of vehicles driving past at all times lol but that is just a sign of a healthy RV camping resort! Thank you!!!!!

5 nights at Gila River View
This was one of the best places we've ever stayed! The host, Amber, was incredible and made sure we had everything we needed. The area is secluded and private and we never heard any noise other than nature. We loved that it's a working cattle ranch with horses, cattle, and pigs. The animals were all friendly and never bothered us. Oh, there was a very friendly barn cat that did snuggle with us a bunch! The camper was an amazing accommodation that offered everything we needed for an indoor experience and sleeping.
The hiking opportunities are endless here! With just a 10 minute hike you can be on the top of a mountain overlooking 2 different valleys that the Gila river runs through. In about a 20-25ish minute hike you can make it from the camp clear into a hidden valley on the back side and make it right up to a secret spot next to the Gila river. We spent half a day at this spot relaxing and enjoying the weather and nature!
It's about a 10 minute drive to the nearest town for any supplies or if you want a restaurant. We only went once to get more drinking water and we were back at camp within the hour!
We will definitely stay here again! We love the place and it's less than 2 hours from our house!

Camping here was amazing. There are two platforms but no one was booked when we were so we had it all to ourselves- very private. Everything was beautiful- we stared at the stars for hours. Great price too!

This place was absolutely beautiful! Clean restrooms and nice and warm/hot shower. Taylor was friendly and easy to communicate with, Getting here was a breeze. I will say if you want a completely quiet stay or if you’re a light sleeper this place might not be for you since you can hear cars as they’re driving by. But 10/10 recommend!!!

Nice enough place. Nothing fancy here. Just a big backyard with some shade and grass. The flowers and shade do make it comfortable. A few vehicles stored here and there. It meets the need for a decent place to stay for a couple of nights and the people are very friendly and accommodating. I can't give it a rave review but I don't really have anything bad to say either. It gets the job done and I would stay again if needed.

Lovely and secluded desert oasis exactly as advertised for road weary travelers. Enjoyed the seclusion, dark night sky and close proximity to Tucson. Highly recommended for its minimalism and desert maximalism.

I enjoyed my brief stay at Weary Traveler Haven and definitely plan to book again when I need a great place away from the city to star-gaze. Booked this stay to watch the Orionid meteor shower and was not disappointed. The tent platform was the ideal place to lay back and watch the sunset and meteor shower and then sunrise the next morning. I also appreciated the fire pit with its included grill. And it was incredibly nice having a clean and conveniently located restroom within easy walking distance from the camping spot. The location of this hipcamp spot was easy to get to, the instructions were simple to follow, and I was greeted shortly after my arrival with the fresh loaf of sourdough I purchased from the hosts. They were unfortunately out of the jam, but promptly reimbursed me and sincerely apologized. If you can afford to, definitely treat yourself to a loaf. It was delicious. Communication with the hosts was also really easy and their responses back were quick and always friendly. There was a bit of construction going on close to the property which started early in the morning, but it didn't bother me much. Overall, I had an incredible time at this location and plan to book again in the future.

The hosts were very friendly and not only provided us with a wine tasting, but gave us a thorough tour of their wine making process.
We were invited to to hook up our RV to electricity and water, which always a plus on a warm day. Thank Dennis and Brie.

Other than the heat, the site was very nice. We were the only ones there. First off, they were very accommodating. When our tent wasn’t able to fully secure to the bottom of the platform, they brought out some rope to tie it down. The property was beautiful, with a large saguaro right next to the sites that we had to take a picture next to. We saw a coyote the last night we were there not too far from the site, but due to the remoteness and environment, it’s definitely not a surprise. It was very central for the plans we had even if it is very remote, but if we were to do something similar again, we would definitely stay here!

Taylor was really chill and sweet to talk to. Her bread is also worth buying.
As for the campsite, our tent was smaller than the platform so we used some leftover rope to tie it down instead of using steaks. They had a great stove, hot shower, and portable toilet.
Would camp here again!
