You get a nice outdoors experience while also having some basic amenities like showers and a community kitchen. Daren is also extremely kind and helpful. I had an amazing time at this campsite! It’s nestled in the woods, surrounded by shady trees, and has plenty of space to set up your tent. I stayed at site 7, which was pretty flat and had soft, easy-to-sink ground for my tent stakes. The sounds from the surrounding area were incredible - I heard a rooster, cows, owls, and a donkey. It felt super secluded, and if you venture into the woods, there’s a pond that’s perfect for taking photos. I made a delicious dinner and enjoyed sitting around the campfire. In the morning, I was greeted by a friendly Hipcamp doggy who hung around for a bit. Overall, it was a lovely place, and the town nearby is close by with restaurants and shops.

1 night at Richard Wizardy's Cynosure Project

Richard's property is eclectic and fun to wander. He met Mr a the gate and I was immediately introduced to two wonderful livestock dogs. Once we met, they were my friends and guardians as I wandered the property. Richard is the kindest man and shared lots of stories. The property is full of fun art from past burning man ventures. I think this guy could build anything you could imagine. There are goats, ducks, and a green house where he grows good own vegetables. He and a friend are planning on growling micro greens in a contraption they built. This spot was a lot of fun and the perfect place to spend time and relax. If you are not into being in a chill atmosphere, animals and some duck poop, them stay clear. But if you want to experience a fun piece of property then this is the place. Make sure you get to know Richard and ask for a tour. You won't regret the experience.

We had a lovely stay at Gary and Daren’s! The views were lovely, and there were lots of little nature walks around the area which were peaceful and quaint. The facilities were great! Hot showers, and a nice little common room with cooking facilities, water, towels, dishes, coffee, etc. Gary was very welcoming and accommodating. There’s lots of attention to detail and love invested in this space! We would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at sacred Springs. But before I get to the property, let me tell you about the hosts. We had first planned on going to the property a month ago and had some serious car troubles that made that journey impossible. I’m pretty cynical, so typically anywhere that I’ve paid some amount of money to put a deposit down and circumstances have come up that impacted our ability to get somewhere ,not the place we were going, I usually just consider the deposit given as a loss. Never to be see again. “ thanks for playing, but sorry we have to keep your money because we are uncaring un-empathetic, greedy bastards.” That was not even remotely close to the experience we had BEFORE even making it there. We reached out to inform Gary and Darrell that we would be unable to make it, sadly but would be looking forward to coming in the future. These remarkable gentlemen who were so kind throughout the entire communication process before we even booked, continued this kindness and added empathy and sympathy for our situation. Still emailing and talking to us while we were in the midst of a horrific experience with our vehicle, not near our home and dealing with the costs and every other negative you could have. These two were like a ray of sunshine. Their gracious and sincere words in the emails and their hospitality and generosity is like nothing I’ve seen in years… decades even. They refunded us and offered a complimentary stay.

We had a wonderful camping experience in the cottonwood grove. The site was easy to get to, well laid out with generous space to the other campsites, and quiet. The availability of toilets and water for washing were welcome amenities. I will be staying again on trip back to the area.
