While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible. We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time. Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free. I loved the whole vibe of camp, which is fun and functional! I stayed in the Adobe, which was very comfortable with an air mattress I rented from camp owners for $15. There were hanging overhead lights near the bed which I found helpful though not a substitute for lantern and headlamp. The bathroom was clean, the shower had a healthy stream of warm water. There were welcoming touches throughout the campground including lights on trees, little colorful fake nomes and mushrooms decorating the cacti area near my structure. There were adirondack chairs throughout, easy dish washing sink, a convenience store with ice and wood, gift items. All in all a comfortable experience I’d do again. Plus location is great near Saguero National Park and Gates Pass (wonderful sunset views). My friends stayed in nearby camp sites on premises and we enjoyed campfire meals and singing. Before 8 pm. It was very quiet and clean. Thank you!

Full size wood bed for your air mattress, camp pad, etc. Bring you own and bring your sleeping bags or other bedding.

Was a beautiful, relaxing stay. The adobe structure was warm on a very cold night. Loved all the custom features. The bathroom and showers were very close by, great community spaces to stare up at the stars. Great to be so close to the national park and stay out in the desert for night. Beautiful property, felt safe, great night of sleep. Will def come back.

We stayed at a place called Lodge, and honestly, it was even better in real life than in the photos. Everything was new, and inside it smelled like wood and nature. It felt very safe and clean, with a beautiful area around and everything you need for cooking and relaxing. The atmosphere was amazing, and the host was so kind and welcoming. At night, you could hear coyotes, which made it feel truly wild and natural. The nights were a bit cool and humid, like in any desert, but everything was well prepared. The toilets and showers were very comfortable, with hot water, soap, and a place to wash dishes. Overall, the vibe was just perfect — this is the best camping experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for everything!

Weekend Trip to Camp Saguaro

What a gem! This campground is one of the cleanest, most charming places. Super close to west side of the park, easy to find, remarkable hosts. Hot showers & running water sinks/flush toilets were wonderful, close by, and super clean. Our family of 3 stayed in the adobe which was charming and added to the southwest experience of the desert (especially grateful for our little adobe given the torrential thunderstorms we were able to escape from/stay dry in!).

Would 100% recommend again. My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was such a relaxing and wonderful stay. The camp host was very friendly and informative. It was only a 7 min drive from Saguaro National Park visitor center. Hopefully I get to stay here again! The bathrooms and shower are very clean, and the shower was super-hot, and we were both able to take a much-needed shower! Adobe was very clean and smelled really nicely like Sage. We were able to cook with our camp supplies and our air mattress fit perfectly on the bed. I slept really well and was very warm in the Adobe. You can purchase supplies needed, do laundry, and do your dishes with hot water. Definitely worth the money especially if you are on a long road trip worth the stay!

Really enjoyed the space and warmth it kept during the cooler nights. Same goes for the mushroom house which we also stayed in a different day. The drive to it was awesome as well

When you first arrive at Camp Saguaro, you see a property that is tended to and lovingly maintained by the owner operators Kim and Michelle. We stayed at The Adobe for a couple nights and had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. The attention to detail was evident throughout our room and the property. You can tell they are always trying to think of special little details to make the guests feel relaxed and welcomed. We will be back again! Thanks

Camp Saguaro is full of funky, arty charm. I loved the Adobe House and marveled at all of it's unique qualities, from the pieces of ceramic in the window sill to the decorative mason jars near the ceiling full of dried flowers. Shower and very nice flush toilets are nearby. I loved building a fire and watching the amazingly clear night sky while hearing coyotes in the distance. Note another site (an incredibly cool mushroom structure) is very close, so don't expect privacy when hanging out outside.

I loved staying here! It was so peaceful and conveniently located near Old Tucson and the Living Desert Museum (a favorite place to visit!). The facilities were clean! Happy to use warm showers, clean flushing toilets and have some space between sites! My daughter said she wanted to live there forever. Haha

Beautiful property. We stayed in the Adobe for a night. Definitely will visit again when I can visit several nights. Property is 3 to 5 miles from Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park. Old Tucson is very close as well. You have to give this place a try!

What a fun spot - well thought out spacing, amenities & decor. From hot showers, to flush toilets, sinks & mirrors, laundry facilities and a cute mercantile - this spot is a great find. Do yourself a favor and book it when you’re in the area. We didn’t need the adobe as we’re traveling in our van, but booked it as the last available spot. What a lovely little space that could be fun. A young family with kids was enjoying the magical mushroom next door. Plenty of space for everyone.

We had plenty of room to set a tent outside.. The bed frame inside held a queen sized air mattress perfectly.

LOVE this gem! I use Hipcamp often and this was one of my top stays so far! The grounds were beautiful and so well maintained. All amenities were as described and the Adobe was even lovelier than expected. The hosts are so accommodating and helpful! Be sure to visit the Mercantile for the handmade goods too! I will absolutely stay here again and give it my highest recommendation. Location was also perfect and peaceful!

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Very friendly host. Simple but clean and complete bathrooms with showers, toilets, and outdoor washing and utility sinks. The Adobe Structure we stayed in was clean and more spacious than expected. It even had some lights, an outdoor table and chairs. Just watch out for the cacti next to the pathways, especially in the dark. They hurt... Thanks for the amazing stay!

This is an absolute gem of a campground! The location is so fantastic for visiting Saguaro National Park, Kitts Observatory, the Desert Museum, and so many other great spots. The bathrooms, showers, and facilities are clean and very nice. We stayed in Adobe and loved it. Hosts are super helpful. Overall just a fantastic experience!
