Designed for the adventurous who appreciate craft and want to experience the Fairbanks lifestyle, the trails to our woods begin right outside your door for you and your pets to explore! You can watch the aurora from the warmth of your bed, from the fire pit, or from one of the clearings in the woods a few minutes' walk away with your furry friends. You can ski on our trails in winter or walk them in summer (be prepared for wet feet!) and discover the fascinating complexity of the ecosystem here. Here you can also see the impacts of climate change on our landscape firsthand, as the permafrost in our woods is melting, causing deep depressions and tilting trees. The cabin likely has everything you need for cooking including a hot plate, microwave, small oven, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There is water at the sink from a cistern and bucket underneath that must be emptied when full. The is no indoor toilet, but a comfortable, clean outhouse is only a few steps from your door. There is also no shower, but the laundromat only a few miles away has private showers for only a few dollars. Pets are welcome! We do ask that they not sleep in the bed as pet hair can be impossible to remove from sheets, that you do not leave your pets unattended in the cabin, and that you pick up after them. You can walk them off leash in our woods, though keep in mind there are lots of squirrels, bunnies, and other wildlife that live there, and we ask you keep them on leash if walking within our neighborhood. The cabin is only a block away from a bus stop as well as a bike trail that will take you into the heart of town.

I love sharing my farm and home with travelers, and visitors seeking peace, nature, wildlife, walks on pristine beaches, and connecting with nature, in a real Alaska, original, and non touristy setting. This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres. This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables. Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar. We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations. The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2024, these go for about $100/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. This property is undergoing development. There is still a fire pit on the river side, as we have considerable brush to burn (not during the camping season, but brush is typically piled on the site about the time we open). Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction. At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

You'll have access on a spacious river bank to fish from camp, no need to hike anywhere. Bald eagles sit in the trees eager for the fishermen to get lucky and pose for pictures. We have fire rings and picnic tables at each site. We can accommodate large RVs to tents. showers, flushing toilet and laundry facility are located at the main office building; outhouses down by the river. In the river we have King Salmon available 1 July - 10 August. Sockeye salmon from June - September. Trout, Grayling, Dolly Vardan and other smaller species able to be targeted throughout the year.

This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres. This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables. Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar. We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations. The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2024, these go for about $100/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. This property is undergoing development. There is still a fire pit on the river side, as we have considerable brush to burn (not during the camping season, but brush is typically piled on the site about the time we open). Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction. At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

This place is so amazing!! The view is unbelievable. You can see the full mountain range and the Homer Spit right from the porch. It feels very private, set back away from the house and with a separate parking spot. The host family is so wonderful and they give you the perfect balance between respecting your privacy and being willing to give advice on things to do in the area. The location couldn't be better; it's right in the middle of town and less than 5 minutes down to the Homer Spit. The tent itself is super posh! They've got it hooked up with comfy beds and nice sheets and blankets, lighting, and lots of outlets. Even though it was summer and didn't get dark until well past midnight, it stayed nice and dark inside the tent to we could sleep in. Not much road noise at all that we noticed. We brought our kids and they loved playing in the yard and sleeping in the big tent. I wish we could have stayed longer! We'll be back!!

Jessica is super kind and has amazing attention to detail with the decor, beauty, and great flow of the property she designed for guests! We were able to take our dog there with lots of space to enjoy walks in a gorgeous woods setting right on the lake! The amenities are off the charts, the sites are spacious and private and we really enjoyed our short stay! We checked in late and left early and it was easy to use the app. She even has a la carte options like a propane fireplace, sauna, hot tub and kayaks available to all guests....absolutely incredible, highly recommend and we will stay again!

We did a hot tub and a sauna add on - both were great, but I would especially recommend the hot tub! We also enjoyed kayaking on the lake! Everything was perfectly thought out and the host was so friendly and helpful.. We would definitely rent here again.

We enjoyed our first visit so much came back and tried out their other tent. We were not disappointed. The queen bed was as great as tent #2 bed and linens. Comfortable, decor is a bit more Boho w/brighter color theme, very nice. Had its own picnic table with huge umbrella, fire pit with a first nights firewood ready to fire up and Adirondack Chairs w/ throw blankets, Lots of Lanterns, soft rugs, throw pillows, propane heater to take that evening chill away was available. It’s Harvest time, we picked Rhubarb, Red Raspberries that are huge, sweet and delicious, had fresh broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce so much produce to go with our fresh salmon we caught. Mel is a fantastic Hostess, she’s a fountain of local knowledge, assisted us with booking suggestion, best trails, restaurants, breweries, charters, and she knows everyone, glamping truly exposes you to more of the Best of a community from a locals view. We rented bikes and canoe the reservoir is another locals secret spot. Mel had, all the gear to loan out, We met the next morning to

Cozy down comforter to keep you warm along with safe indoor heater if needed. They also have firewood on site if needed and a greenhouse for veggies. Salad anyone?Plenty of lighting inside & out that you control & you can even charge your electronics inside the tent. Unlike an average tent there’s no condensation buildup. Perfect location for walks, biking, hiking, fishing charters or snow machining in winter. Plentiful raspberry bushes to pick from. Fire pit for s’mores & place to hang your wet waders after fishing. Homer spit, cool restaurants, bars, native artwork & unique gift stores all very close by. Mel is an amazing host & can point you in the right direction for any of your interests. She goes above & beyond in making your stay perfect!! Beautiful open yard, too. This is the only place I’ll ever stay now when I’m in Homer. Better book ahead as this is a steal deal!!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The cabins were amazing and had everything we could have needed! Loved seeing all the animals out there too! It’s such a wonderful and beautiful drive right outside of Homer. Everything was nice and close including the wash house which was super nice to have and clean! Vikki was an outstanding host! Despite all the questions I had, she was super kind and very quick to respond and accommodating! Will definitely be returning in the future!

We had such a fantastic time here! The hot tub and sauna, along with the outdoor showers, were so nice after traveling. The campground is well laid out and felt safe, and the spots were relatively private. We really wish we had had time to take advantage of the kayaks at the lake! It was very picturesque though. I also really appreciated the well stocked common area with some items for sale. Jessica and her family were also super nice and helpful! They had great recommendations.

We camped during the late summer in our sprinter van. They don’t have electric yet but they will very soon. It’s a lovely place tucked away but close enough to town. They have truly put love, blood sweat and tears into making this a lovely place to stay. Jessica is a charming host! They have some beautiful and even hilly hiking trails right around the place that could keep you busy for a while. The kayaks are fun paddle to around the lake. The hot tub was such a lovely bonus addition. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
