Tucked away in a beautiful forest of birch and spruce, our Hytte offers a thoughtful space to rest and explore. It is a one room main space with a queen size bed. There is an optional single air mattress in the cabinet that can be put on the floor for another adult or child if needed. The furnishings have been thoughtfully curated to be minimalist, warm and peaceful. Many items are vintage or made by us. We have purposefully chosen amenities that are low waste and environmentally conscious. There is a countertop and sink with a double burner cooktop for simple meals. Eating utensils, cups, plates and bowls are on the shelves above. We have a Fellow pour over coffee setup with a handheld Snowpeak grinder for a lovely hot cup of coffee! A mini fridge is situated in the cabinet below the counter. Seating for two also in the main room. The bathroom has a shower and sink space with a composting toilet. Instructions for use of the composting toilet are conveniently placed on the wall next to it for ease of use:) Our place has all the comfort essentials and we’re continually working on adding amenities. Here is what off-the-grid means for your stay at Fireweed Mountain Lodge: WATER-USE Centrally located shower use is limited to specific hours each day since they require generator power (increases noise pollution, fuel—bummers). Same with our toilets. At all other times, a pristine clean outhouse with a view of Fireweed Mountain is available. Water for drinking and cooking is always available on-site. Our family loved this cozy, well-curated space. Rebekah was quick to respond and super accommodating with our 2am arrival. The mattress was nice and firm- much appreciated as we needed the good night sleep. We easily adjusted the temperature to suit our needs and thoroughly appreciated the eggs and granola. ❤️ I wish we got a chance to spend more time here but will add it to our list for future travels.

2 nights at BRIDGE CABIN at Bear Creek Lodge

We loved the cozy cabin, the wood fired cook stove, the beautiful river right next to it, and all of the very helpful kind staff, would stay there again and again if we could! Sauna was an especially nice feature after rafting six mile river. No running water or working stove other than wood fired one, be ready to go back in time a bit, but everything you need is just over the bridge at the main cafe building

Weekend Trip to Sea Otter Cabin

The Sea Otter Cabin was the perfect place to enjoy the 4th of July. The cabin is situated with a beautiful view of the water and we’re able to spend an amazing night on the beach. Jan and Dave went above and beyond to accommodate us with everything we could need. The cabin was adorable and cozy in a picturesque location.
