Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Weekend Trip to Brinn Farm

This camp spot was the absolute best we have stayed at. 60 acres, a pond with bass and brim which was fished every day, no neighbors and no cell service. Full hookups with 50amp service, walking trails to explore, the ambiance at night with lights, fireflies and such a gorgeous property. This is the place to disconnect from it all and reconnect with nature. Our dogs loved being able to run, play and swim. We have been wanting to camp here for a few years and finally getting to meet Patrick and family was a real pleasure! Thank you for sharing your slice of Heaven on Earth with us and for making our annual family camp trip one to remember. Truly a wonderful experience and we can't wait to camp here again. ❤️

Set up was a breeze on arrival. Jay met me and showed me my boondocking site - flat and plenty of room to pull in and circle around for my 26' TT. Keyed and gated entry was nice. Each day I heard the neighbor's rooster and a braying donkey - far enough away to be unobtrusive and near enough to be enjoyed. Other campers down the road were either tent campers or RVs enjoying full hookups. Met some nice folks! Only had 2 other boondocking neighbors during my 7 night stay. Jay and Suzette were lovely and welcoming. Enjoyed evening conversation while the guys played horseshoes. The laundry/shower/toilet rooms were clean and well kept. Laundry rate was very reasonable. I enjoyed my time there so much I extended my stay a few more days. You might want to bring your own fresh water as the water hose by the tank dump is not technically potable due to its location.

We booked with Jay and Suzette and we were very surprised Bathroom, shower, laundry, little treats, and lovely trails around the property to take a walk or jog. Gateway Trails is by far the best Hipcamp site I have visited. Jay and his pup greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. We only made a quick overnight but honestly I could have stayed for days. Highly recommend especially to solo travelers looking for a safe place to rest your head.

Jay and Suzette are excellent hosts . The location was very easily accessible to I-10 and the Emerald Coast beaches. Convenient grocery options nearby. It's a quiet place in the country the hosts are really welcoming and very knowledgeable it's great for Boondocking if you want your privacy you can also get a remote to the gate which was really convenient; the showers were clean with hot water, washer and dryer available, potable water. Owners checked in on me to make sure I was okay. My only drawback was the neighbours in the neighbouring property played their music pretty loud at night. I was too tired after a date at the beach to care. Other than that everything is cool. The price was right for me ;a weary traveller needing to stay someplace car and tent campingfor at least four days while I took in the beaches. Super quiet wooded spot. Close to pretty much everything in crestview. 40ish from Destin 30 from fort Walton beach. Super sweet host! The spots are level and tucked back from the road.

Our camper was set up just to the right of this magnificent oak. I moved my chair and table to its’ shade for my morning coffee and afternoon relaxing.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hidden Oak RV 1 at Brinn Farm. This is one of those rare places where the photos are beautiful — but the experience is even better in person. The site sits beside a stocked pond under a massive live oak, surrounded by wooded acreage. After check-in, we didn’t see another person the entire stay. It truly feels private, peaceful, and tucked away. The hosts were outstanding. We received a full orientation when we arrived, and they checked in by text during our stay to make sure everything was going well. You can tell they genuinely care about their property and their guests. The site itself is spacious and level. Full hookups worked perfectly, and everything was excellently maintained. What really sets this place apart is the natural soundscape. At night we heard coyotes in the distance and frogs near the pond. During the day, birds at sunrise, fish jumping in the water, and even cows and peacocks off in the distance. It’s immersive in a way that’s hard to capture in photos. I needed to work remotely one day, and my Starlink mini worked flawlessly — so it’s a great option if you need to blend work with a quiet retreat. If you’re looking for privacy, nature, and thoughtful hosts, this is an exceptional Hipcamp and I would not hesitate to book it. We will absolutely stay again.

Great overnight stop. Can tell it would be a great spot to stop for awhile. Met at the entrance and after a couple of hours to see if I needed anything. Nice walking property. Clean wash house with everything you could need. Other very happy campers.

We had a very nice stay here. It’s a rural area so it’s relatively quiet. I would suggest somehow addressing the multiple fire ant mounds and adding a trash can of some sort. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond.

We always love staying at Gateway Trails! Suzette and Jay are the absolute best hosts and make it feel like our home away from home. The boondocking spot was an easy in and out for us and the bathroom/laundry room was so clean and nice! Can’t wait to come through and stay again!

Thanks to the Reviews here AND the quick Reply to my HipCamp message ~ booked an unexpected getaway. WHAT a great place to start the new year and experience the 1st full moon. The hosts were super accepting and accommodating of my late arrival. It's only an hour away to put your toes in the sand! And that sparkling clean, hot shower is a huge bonus after a day at the beach. Even got a guided tour of the property. Peaceful & private ~ perfection! The hosts' care for the campers promotes an obvious feel of community. CanNOT wait to go back in the spring!

Weekend Trip to Brinn Farm

Our camping experience was awesome. Patrick’s Dad Pat met us at the entrance to the property and led us to a beautiful secluded spot. He also drove me around property to get me acquainted to the many acres available for walks. The property was extremely well maintained. It was renewing to have such a quiet property to enjoy walks, fishing (if interested) and star gazing. Everything as far as hookups was easy and we so enjoyed listening to birds, reading and relaxing. No cell service or WiFi but you will not miss it if you want to enjoy nature and solitude. We definitely would return for future visits.

I never saw anyone but they were very helpful in my late check-in and left great instructions on where to go. It was clean and all the hook ups were readily available. I chose it for the location and it was a very easy in and out.

Jay and Suzette are amazing Hipcamp hosts! They did everything they could to ensure I had the best possible stay. When they heard about my particular camping rig setup (overlanding truck), they offered to move me to another location that they said I would enjoy even more. WOW! That was proactive on their part! They truly were attentive to my having a positive experience. It is very easy to find their location and they provide very detailed instructions on how to not only find your specific spot (with a detailed map!!), but also how everything works. They have laundry facilities on site (at a reasonable price I might add), and their shower space is fantastic! Very very clean with plenty of hot water. The lending library was great; the honor system based pantry was nice too. The other campers I encountered were all nice and everyone minded their own space. The camping spot was clean and level for me. It is tough identifying one amazing thing as there are so many great things to love about the experience. I will absolutely be back and I hope to stay more than one night next time. Thank you Jay and Suzette! You are Hipcamp hosts who do it right!! -Will

Weekend Trip to Brinn Farm

Definitely will be back again!! Patrick met us and helped us get all setup and made sure everything was good before leaving. Had the best time, so peaceful and private. Never left the site. Caught small bass and beautiful bream. Seen deer and lots of ducks. If you are looking for a restful and private retreat then this is the spot for sure!!

Lake City Campground is somewhat remote & quiet - just what my husband & I were looking for. The common area bathrooms & kitchen were clean & convenient. The proximity to Lake Jackson & a few other nearby areas of interest such as Finks Mill and Andalusia were an added bonus for this location. If you’re looking for no crowds but nearby activities, then this is an ideal campground.
