We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65.
I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served.

We have a portable toilet (portable-potty) for your use.
This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails.
This is also a hobby farm with livestock (two Donkeys, two Goats and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you!
My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from barking during the night.
We also host three AirBnBs, so other guests may be here as well.
Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back.
We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water.

History of our location Count De Galvez awarded a land grant on Garcon Point to Antonio Garzon following his 1781 Siege of Pensacola in consideration of “his good services rendered as an interpreter to the Indians of Pensacola." The grant was held for 35 years before Maria Garzon, who survived husband Antonio, sold the land they called Garzon’s Point to Joseph (Jose) Bonifay.
The land uses were favorable for cattle grazing and turpentining through the 1800s. Many more pioneer families moved into the area and began their own business in the booming industrial opportunities of western Florida. It came to be known as Yellow River Marsh State Buffer Preserve on June 12, 2000, when it was purchased by the state of Florida to protect rare and environmentally sensitive lands, plants and animals.
Through generous donations, Preservation 2000 and the Florida Forever Program, more land was added to protect contiguous habitat of the Garcon Ecosystem.
Today Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park provides recreational opportunities for hiking and nature study along the Great Florida Birding Trail among rare and endemic plant species and within one of Florida’s oldest multi-cultural frontiers.The preserve is located in Santa Rosa County on Garcon Point, which separates Escambia Bay from Blackwater Bay.
Nearly 20 rare and endangered species of plants 🪴 and animals make their homes along the bay and its wet prairies, dome swamps and flatwoods.

We are less than 15 minutes from Interstate 10 and from Interstate 65.
I offer a half-dozen campsites, all either on a relatively level paved driveway or grass. Power (20 amp and 30 amp) and water is available. We have two 30 amp campsites, which are first come, first served.
WIFI is available! (please ask for password).
We have a portable toilet (portable-potty) for your use.
This is a Longleaf Pine sanctuary with lots of nature trails.
This is also a hobby farm with livestock (two Donkeys, two Goats and a flock of Chickens). I feed the livestock grain every morning usually between 8 and 9 am, and again hay before dusk. You are always welcome to join me and I'll introduce all of them to you!
My dog, Homer, is our very friendly welcoming ambassador who will enthusiastically great you upon your arrival. I put him up in his kennel each evening around dusk, then lock him in his shed until morning which keeps him from barking during the night.
We also host three AirBnBs, so other guests may be here as well.
Texting via the app is our preferred mode of communication. If you call, please leave a message if I can't answer, and I will call you back.
We are slowly updating the site photos. Use them only to determine your price, for example: A site with 30 amp power and water is $25 per night. A site with 20 amp power and water is $20 per night. A boondocking site (no power) is $15 per night. All sites have access to a porta-potty and water.

History of our location Count De Galvez awarded a land grant on Garcon Point to Antonio Garzon following his 1781 Siege of Pensacola in consideration of “his good services rendered as an interpreter to the Indians of Pensacola." The grant was held for 35 years before Maria Garzon, who survived husband Antonio, sold the land they called Garzon’s Point to Joseph (Jose) Bonifay.
The land uses were favorable for cattle grazing and turpentining through the 1800s. Many more pioneer families moved into the area and began their own business in the booming industrial opportunities of western Florida. It came to be known as Yellow River Marsh State Buffer Preserve on June 12, 2000, when it was purchased by the state of Florida to protect rare and environmentally sensitive lands, plants and animals.
Through generous donations, Preservation 2000 and the Florida Forever Program, more land was added to protect contiguous habitat of the Garcon Ecosystem.
Today Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park provides recreational opportunities for hiking and nature study along the Great Florida Birding Trail among rare and endemic plant species and within one of Florida’s oldest multi-cultural frontiers.The preserve is located in Santa Rosa County on Garcon Point, which separates Escambia Bay from Blackwater Bay.
Nearly 20 rare and endangered species of plants 🪴 and animals make their homes along the bay and its wet prairies, dome swamps and flatwoods.

Joe is welcoming and personal. He and his wife have a beautiful property & provide a great set up for guests; nice space, ferry lights, picnic tables, shower, flushing toilet, stackable washer and dryer…more than I have had at any of my other Hip Camp experiences!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we were not disappointed. A work in progress, host Joseph has a great little campground with a unique character and a cool vib. We were tenting, our site was roomy, with access to potable water and electric.

Joesph’s place is everything you need in a campsite. It’s clean, spacious, private , safe, beautiful nature and close to some great places outside. We were warm greated and given a few different options to chose from to pitch our tent. Highly recommend for anyone traveling this area, close drive to some beautiful beaches!

Lovely little spot on the hill! We got to watch a beautiful sunset through the pines. Big storm blew in at night, but we were tucked enough that we made it! Absolutely recommend! And I loved getting to say good morning to the goats and donkeys!

The excellent welcome by the courteous host to this idyllic location refreshed the soul of this itinerant visitor. Not once did the donkeys or roosters awaken me too early. [With a little gentle persuasion, one may be able to provoke the host to run an extension cord out to "Boondocker 1 -No Electricity"].

Dave’s place is a hidden gem. Plenty of room and he goes out of his way to meet your camping needs. Easy to locate and quiet but just a few miles to town. Other campers present and everyone very friendly. Enjoyed the community fire pit but there are pits at some of the sites as well. Would definitely recommend.

We loved everything about Sandy Creek. The yurt was adorable and the beds were very comfy. The property is beautiful with so many things to do. We loved kayaking, the hot tub, and the well supplied fire pit. The outdoor kitchen is very well stocked. We had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time here. Our dog really loved having a large space to run. There are ticks in the yard she would pick up every time she was out. It is pretty noisy. You’re at the intersection of two major roads and there is a local airport across the road that has helicopters flying every night except Sunday. The bathroom and laundry were really great! I’m not sure that I would pay the price again due to the noise. Thanks!

We had a great time at this location. But to be honest we were just sleeping here.
There are some things that might not make it so for others. It is very close to a busy highway, which is very noisy.
While there is a NICE bathhouse, there was no hot water. And there were no window coverings on the double French doors that served as the entrance. It faced a driveway so there was traffic going up and down. So basically you were exposed.
The owner has a wonderful big dog. Sweet as sugar but when the dog came running at me full tilt it was a little unnerving. She was not under her owners control. Plus I had my two smaller dogs on leashes and I was actually afraid of what they might do to the bigger dog.
I asked if he might put his dog up which he wasn’t willing to do.
All that being said it served its purpose

I had a quiet and wooded campspot. There was a was a bathroom/shower house with a washer and dryer. The host, Joseph, was friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
