Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. The property spans both sides of the bike path at mile marker 9 on the Chief Ladiga.

Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

Mountain Cabin on the Chief Ladiga Bike Path, Terrapin Creek, and Pinhoti Trail Our cabin is tucked away on a private road bordering the Chief Ladiga Bike Path and Big & Little Terrapin Creek. It sits adjacent to the Talladega National Forest and is within walking distance of the Pinhoti Hiking Trail. We also have private hiking trails throughout the property. The twin beds are located in the loft of the cabin, and there is a couch in the living room. This is the perfect quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin is about 15 minutes from downtown Piedmont, which has multiple coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores, and antique shops. We provide a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable. You will be blown away by the mountain and creek views. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. The property spans both sides of the bike path at mile marker 9 on the Chief Ladiga.

My partner and I stayed just 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer! The camper was so charming and cozy! Devin is a wonderful host… including all the necessities and clear instructions on how to use everything. He responded quickly to my silly questions and made us feel very welcome. The RV park is small and quiet but very close to grocery stores and several cute shops. We had an amazing stay! I’d love to go back again!

Perfect little location for some fall trees and a little getaway. The cabin had everything I needed with the extra bonus of the personal hot tub! First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Great camping spot! We had a great time at Nick's Hipcamp. We stayed both in the lodge and campground several nights and both were great experiences. We brought our toddler and she loved the chickens. So much to do around the area, good grocery store 10 minutes away in Jasper, good hiking/climbing around the area. Highly recommend!
