The pond hasn't yet been stocked with fish, but hopefully soon it will have more than just frogs. But for now the frogs provide great music. This is a rustic campsite, with rocks, roots, and steep terrain. Please bring your own camping gear, including chairs, and please take your trash with you. There is plenty of privacy, even though you are right near a public road that has very little traffic. There are no other campsites nearby and the owner lives 1/2 mile away. Recreation nearby includes Canoeing/kayaking on both the Elk River and Richland creek (shuttles can usually be arranged), Stillhouse Hollow Falls (beautiful waterfall hiking), Trail of Tears Interpretive Center, and Big Creek Winery. The land boundaries are a line of arborvitae evergreens on the south, fencing on the east and north, and the chert road on the west. Our country road is safe for walking but there are no sidewalks, so step aside for passing vehicles. You can get a 9/10s of a mile walk up and down our country road without going off road or onto a highway.

I loved camping on the Bate's Farm. Wayne was a great host. The facility had a great balance of rustic nature and modern amenities. The land was peaceful and natural. Each site was private and included a fire pit, picnic table, and trash bin. Free showers, laundry, and a playground were also available.

Bates Farm is a beautiful spot. The caring and kind hosts maintain a well-kept space to enjoy tranquil nature. Our stay was brief and simple. The Endor site was private and easy to access. The restrooms & showers on site were clean and comfortable. The archery range looked great, though we did not utilize it. They have a delightful selection of family-friendly activities available.

Bates Farm is a 10/10 experience for camping. The grounds are gorgeous and Mary and Wayne were lovely. Hands down, best camping shower I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the flower trail, fire pit and watching the stars at night. Highly recommend this place!

Our stay at Silverwater Campground in Counce Tennessee was an awesome stay. A stone's throw away from Shiloh National Military Park. Covered RV sites with full hookups at a terrific price. Host very accommodating. Have family in the area. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to HeartStone Campground

Dan and Mandy were excellent hosts. We camped in campsite 10 which was big enough for two families with dogs. There was plenty of firewood to be gathered. Dan and Mandy were responsive, extremely accommodating, and checked in the right amount. They are very passionate about their campground and it shows. The bathrooms were well lit and fully stocked. Look forward to coming back here with the kids! There is a swimming hole on site but the water was low due to lack of rain recently. It was still knee high and felt refreshing. The kids loved walking through the water. The star gazing at night was incredible. There is no city lights. Will definitely come back!

The ride to our camp site was amazingly beautiful down a trail. Once we got to our campsite it was beautiful open grassy area woodsy trails open nature pluse stargazing. Each campsite sets far back from each other for more privacy. This is true nature camping experience we loved it. Our host was very helpful and we will certainly come back. It's going to be gorgeous when the leaves start changing.

Great country location. Easy set-up. Hosts have thought of nearly everything to make your stay a little more enjoyable. The bathhouse was clean and comfortable, the site included a nice picnic area and fire pit, and there were even 'surprise' amenities like a free laundry area. Loved walking our dog around the grounds. Very beautifully laid out. It's obvious they've put a lot of thought into this space.

I loved camping here at Bates Farm! It was a very peaceful and spacious primitive site where you can really feel more immersed in nature. Mary and her husband were very hospitable and made sure to alert us whenever archers were on the range. I will definitely love to come back to participate in the 3D archery here in the future. Highly recommended, it was a cool experience.

It was an excellent experience from the reservation to check out time. The hosts take time to talk to you and periodically check in to see if you need anything. The property has an excellent choice of different tent camping spots. The bathrooms showers and laundry areas are clean. Me and 3 other friends were on a motorcycle trip and all of us say we would definitely stay at Bates Farm again if in the area!

8 nights at Nature's Haven At White Oak Landing

Love this spot! I almost cried this morning while we were packing up. It was clean, spacious and very quiet. We spent out days watching the cranes and fish and waving at others while on their morning or late afternoon walk. We will absolutely 💯 be back. Lori was an awesome host! Thank you so much for sharing heaven with us!
