The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. This camp spot was the absolute best we have stayed at. 60 acres, a pond with bass and brim which was fished every day, no neighbors and no cell service. Full hookups with 50amp service, walking trails to explore, the ambiance at night with lights, fireflies and such a gorgeous property. This is the place to disconnect from it all and reconnect with nature. Our dogs loved being able to run, play and swim. We have been wanting to camp here for a few years and finally getting to meet Patrick and family was a real pleasure! Thank you for sharing your slice of Heaven on Earth with us and for making our annual family camp trip one to remember. Truly a wonderful experience and we can't wait to camp here again. ❤️

Set up was a breeze on arrival. Jay met me and showed me my boondocking site - flat and plenty of room to pull in and circle around for my 26' TT. Keyed and gated entry was nice. Each day I heard the neighbor's rooster and a braying donkey - far enough away to be unobtrusive and near enough to be enjoyed. Other campers down the road were either tent campers or RVs enjoying full hookups. Met some nice folks!
Only had 2 other boondocking neighbors during my 7 night stay. Jay and Suzette were lovely and welcoming. Enjoyed evening conversation while the guys played horseshoes. The laundry/shower/toilet rooms were clean and well kept. Laundry rate was very reasonable. I enjoyed my time there so much I extended my stay a few more days.
You might want to bring your own fresh water as the water hose by the tank dump is not technically potable due to its location.

We had a great time. The property is beautiful. They had full hook ups for our small RV. The hosts Larry and Sheila were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. There isn’t a place to put kayaks in, but I was able to take my paddle board up river and ride it back to the campsite. We can’t wait to go back.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In Paradise
We had the most amazing weekend! The entire set up was breathtaking and very romantic! The gardens and plants were beautiful and my absolute favorite part along with the outdoor shower because long hot showers were wanted at the end of our day.
We spent the full day Saturday with rented e-bikes tours Florida Caverns State Park and sightseeing the caverns.
Very impressed the hosts thought of everything we could have possibly needed and left nothing to run and get, we will definitely book again!

The hosts were friendly & welcoming. We had a small teardrop trailer in a primitive site that was perfect & private. The shower house was luxurious.

We needed a boondock site for one night. We booked with Jay and Suzette and we were very surprised Bathroom, shower, laundry, little treats, and lovely trails around the property to take a walk or jog. The tent and RV-hook-up sites are scattered about giving alot of space and privacy . They were lovely hosts as well.

We loved our stay in the yurt! It was so cozy and had everything we needed from first aid kit, to snacks, and fire wood. Our dogs probably has the best time of all of us exploring the property and finding the creek. We rented a canoe and floated the river 30 minutes away (Cypress Springs) which I strongly recommend! Dollar general and the local market was just a 2 minute drive for any necessities but the campsite is tucked off away from the road.

This site is new and a lovely remote spot. We got in late with a gate code, the campsites and bathroom were clean and the view of the pond was serene. We were just passing through, but it would be a nice place to spend more time.

Gateway Trails is by far the best Hipcamp site I have visited. Jay and his pup greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. We only made a quick overnight but honestly I could have stayed for days. Highly recommend especially to solo travelers looking for a safe place to rest your head.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful and its very quiet. There was plenty of privacy to explore the property and the layout was perfect. Our dog had a blast roaming around and she spent a lot of time down in the creek. It was the perfect blend of the outdoors and access to the creature comforts youd want. We will definitely be booking again.

The privacy of the campsite is fantastic! The hosts are incredibly friendly and came to introduce themselves and make sure we knew where to go and provided walkthrough of where everything is and how to access. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful and private campsite.
