The original homestead cabin from 1903 is still here! This became our home when my husband retired because it is his dream. Our Highland cattle have personality plus!! The river wrapping around the ranch at the foot of the mountain washes away the stress and leaves a peace here that fills the spirit with calm. We love the land, the bald eagles, the wildlife, our guests and each other! Learn more about this land: Sleep in your RV with the sound of the river lulling you to recharge and just breath in the peace. We have a great boat ramp with a put-in and a place to kayak, tube, raft or fish! Great hiking trails nearby and a quiet country road to bike that the big bike races use. Our Scottish Highland cows give kisses are happy to share your carrots, apples and watermelon! We only rent two spots to keep it peaceful here.Sleep in your RV with the sound of the river lulling you to recharge and just breath in the peace. NO EXCEPTIONS! Our rescue dog does not allow strange dogs on our ranch. She is a great guardian and loves people but is ugly to other dogs and coyotes! We want everyone safe.

Beautiful 13 mile, a bit challenging drive (very windy) to property along Colorado river. Loved landscape to property and on property. Site on river very tranquil. Although there are now 6-7 sites i've been lucky to be a solo camper which I prefer. Both times I camped there early spring and late Fall, less busy time of season. Host where available to answer any questions I had.

Camping with river access!

Easy to find, Nancy was helpful, nice and quiet place with direct access to the river. Searching a peaceful place to rest, here it is! We would come back!

It’s beautiful there you are right on the Colorado River. We did not have any internet. But there was a place to hike which we really liked. One of the workers on the Ranch was very helpful.

Peaceful respite from city life

12 ft pop-up camper

Convenient access from Dotsero, only 13 miles upstream. The sites were situated nicely facing the river, with beautiful views of the opposing cliffs. There was 30A power for each site, and a hose for potable water nearby. The hosts were very nice, and their two dogs were happy for a round of petting but not always in camp with us. I'll definitely revisit them next summer! We spent 3 comfortable nights there in mid-October.

Quiet! Safe! Beautiful! Friendly!

Nancy and Jerry are terrific hosts. It’s pretty cool be be right there on the fringe of their working ranch, but they and their staff are very unobtrusive… They are very nice people, very personable (if you seek them out,) and the property is even more beautiful than the pictures. We would highly recommend to anyone to consider their ranch as a quiet and very safe destination! Observing their Scottish Highland cattle is pretty amazing as well! If you like eggs, be sure to purchase some of the quail eggs they sell.. They are very tasty!
