The Skybox Suite is a 2-bedroom Tiny Home w/ full kitchen, bath, large, private stargazing deck, 2 balconies, & epic views of Joshua Tree. 1 of 3 units for rent on the El Ranchito compound, it is the most private, built from a 45' long shipping container. The airborne feel of the bedrooms, one resting in the arms of a thirty foot tall eucalyptus tree, makes this self-contained, standalone house an-only-one-of-these-on-the-planet, high end, desert wilderness, rustic experience. It features super comfy Queen-sized beds, private bathroom, kitchen, patio, and super cool AC. This luxurious tiny treehouse home comes with full access to the common areas: lap pool, hot tubs, outdoor showers, fire tables, hammocks, patios and gorgeous environs, perfect for every kind of activity from meditative chilling and stargazing to action-adventuring. 

El Ranchito Wellness Inn and Spa is a super chill spot. A lot of awesome musicians, actors, directors, painters, hikers, cyclists, equestrians, stargazers, and climbers have stayed and recreated here, and created some fabulous things. Lots of good juju here. This working horse ranch is close to the JTNP North entrance, which is the best and fastest way in. Aside from the magical delights up in the park, there's great hiking, biking and desert wandering leaving right out from the ranch house, across the open desert, or ride the dirt roads in our area, or bushwhack cross country in the nearby foothills.

We're also two hours away from Parker, AZ, and access to the Colorado river.

On the ranch there's a pool patio spa next to a lap pool, lounges and daybeds, a palapa with eight hammocks, two outdoor showers and a second spa in in a private cabana (a private hot tub in a cabana that locks from the inside, uses a vacant/occupied sign system, and has no sight lines in), all make El Ranchito de la Playa a fun, romantic and often inspiring sanctuary. It's really important to us that you revel and recreate in our little corner of the Mojave, a place we dearly love. Our goal is to achieve an almost instant dropping of your heart rate as you first relax into a hammock, lounge, rocking chair, or jacuzzi, take in the oceanic desert that engulfs you and the trillions of stars above that shine down, the galaxial sky's awesomeness inevitably softening the heart.

We also offer ATV, Quad, and Fat-Sand-Tire Electric Mountain Bike guided tours of the surrounding desert area. Please let us know if you'd like to book one and we'll send you the rate card. 

Additionally we directly offer golf cart rentals to our guests staying at the ranch. If interested please let us know and we'll send you the info.

And if there's any biking, running, climbing, dirtbiking, or hiking you'd like to do while you're in the Joshua Tree area and would like 'em, we'll give you solid recommends (I.e. re: hiking: how long, how difficult, elevation gain/mostly flat/rollers, etc). Think of us as your Joshua Tree Desert concierge.
