Spacious, level camping well-suited for travel trailers over 40 ft long.
The land that is now Terrapin Hill Farm has been a gathering place over the ages, and we have continued the tradition with music festivals, yoga retreats, weddings, and other celebrations. We believe that getting out in Nature... by camping, hiking, gazing at a campfire or at starry skies... is not only beneficial but necessary to our mental health. That's why we want to share our little slice of heaven with others.

Pitch your tent in the woods, in a field, or nearby the pond or river. We have restrooms with flush toilets and a shower house (closed Nov-Apr), but can provide a private porta-potty to sites further away. You are welcome to have a campfire which we can provide or you can gather your own wood, and some sites have picnic tables. Looks like rain? Pitch your tent under one of our beautiful hand built stages! When you arrive we will give you a quick tour of the farm and you get to pick where you want to stay - close to facilities or on the far edges of the farm where you'll feel like you're miles away from anywhere. Grab a group of friends, and rent our covered pavilion - we provide tables, chairs, even a stage - you provide the fun! Come here to unplug and unwind, or be as active as you want to be. There are miles of hiking/biking trails, a pond and river (river may not be navigable in summer depending on rainfall), and a hill that is perfect for stargazing and watching sunrises and sunsets. For wildlife, we can show you a list of over 40 bird species and 15 mammals that we have personally observed on the farm - how many will you get to see? Our little paradise is easy to get to but tucked away amid the rolling hills of central Kentucky so you'll feel completely submerged in Nature, a place where you can relax and breathe in the tranquility. If you care to tour around the area there are several historic places to visit nearby, shops and restaurants in Harrodsburg, and we're close to several stops on the Bourbon Trail. You can fish at nearby Willisburg Lake; the farm pond is not stocked. ** Note some dates may be blocked off if we have an event happening at the farm, so please contact us about whether a date is available for tent camping. If tent camping while there is another event happening, there will be certain areas off-limits, but there are plenty of places to camp and explore that are far away from any activities. Showers and restrooms will not be available but a porta-potty can be provided. Terrapin Hill Farm has a variety of campsites for tents, car camping, hammocks, however you like to camp. We also have a RV sites with hookups, and cottages with bunkbeds (see other listings).

    Awesome place to stay! My family and two dogs stayed in a cabin for the night and it was great! Very clean simple cabin with fans and lights. The bathrooms were super nice and very clean. Very quiet property and friendly host. Highly recommend.
