BEWARE OF CAMP HOST: Did a solo camp trip last Sunday (10/11). At 8pm, Iâm reading up in my tent & itâs pitch black. The male camp host drove a golf cart to my camp site, staggered towards my truck & started yelling at me. He was very drunk, SCREAMING that I had parked wrong, needed to un-camp & leave immediately. Hipcamp doesnât allow for long reviews, so Iâll summarize: It was INSANE. I was a woman alone in a campground w/ no signal & a drunk man aggressively threatening me for no reason. Iâve contacted a Forest Service Harassment Hotline & been in touch with the contractor (campone.com) that manages the camp hosts. Both said they are âinvestigating.â
