Easily accessible off the A541 Mold-Denbigh road , 7 mins from J31 on A55 . A short 20-25 minute drive to the beach resorts of Talacre , Rhyl , Abergele and Prestatyn. The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . On site you will have ensuite facilities in our luxurious Quarry Wagons with a covered outdoor veranda deck and an outdoor bath tub to relax and unwind under the dark skies. We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs

A lovely campsite with very friendly hosts (and even friendlier dogs). The wild campsite has a little river flowing around and there are some spare Kayaks you can borrow to go on the river with or just simply wild swim.

A fantastic week as close to perfect as possible. Buddy my dog and I stayed in our own tent on the Don Don pitch. Falling to sleep with the guddling of the stream outside. Watched a meteor storm with fellow guests and got to sample Jane's cooking. Jane can cook. They make pizza in a pizza oven outdoors that is as good as any Italian pie. Easy to find. Lots of parking and super tidy with spotless bathrooms. Without a doubt I'm coming back. Thank You.

Nice pitch (Algie) and facilities. Enjoyed a sociable evening watching the sunset with the other campers. Ian and Ann were great hosts, and nice to see their animals, would definitely recommend.

We throughly enjoyed our two night stay. Fantastic owners Ian and Jane made us feel very welcome. Lovely communal area on the main site called the 'sunset shack' with comfy chairs, picnic tables and cooking area. Saturday evening spent gathered with other campers sharing stories. We stayed over on the wild camping part across the road. This had compost loos, nice hot shower and running water. No electric on this side, but not needed. Used the kitchenette on the main site to breafly charge phones. Left on a Sunday and not rushed off site as no other arrivals. Will 100% stay again at this little slice of heaven.

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat
We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax.
Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do.
The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights.
Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!!

The campsite was really easy to find and had gorgeous views. It was nice and spacious so we didn’t on top of other families. It was very windy but would be the time of year. The toilets and shower block is clean and a nice washing up facility for dishes. There are fridges available to use and taps near the non electric pitches too. We also used a fire pit which was great to end our visit. We would like to come back as it’s close to lots of great hikes and bike parks!

We had a great time at Tipis at Ponty! The location was beautiful, and close to many hiking areas, the lake, and tallest waterfall in Wales and England. The site was very clean and had everything we needed. Jane and her husband were very friendly and ensured we were all set. They have a great sunset shack on the hill to watch the beautiful colors in the sky, and we even played a few rounds of table tennis. We would highly recommend staying at Tipis at Ponty, and look forward to our next trip there!

We absolutely loved camping here and staying on the Daffyd pitch. Jane and Ian were so incredibly lovely and had some great recommendations for what to do in the local area. We also enjoyed an oven baked pizza on the Saturday night! Peaceful, beautiful and welcoming stay - truly special. We hope to be back.
