Well appointed very dog friendly shepherd's hut, and we even survived Storm Dave in it!
Hut is set in its own dog-secure orchard adjacent to the chicken run and a barn. Lovely views and sunrises over Clwydian hills.
Good shower and cooking facilities. Very comfy bed. Portable heater and log burner.
Eggs from the chickens next door are excellent. 10 min drive to town, great value huge dog zoomie field a minute away, plus lots of forest walks in the area.
One of the best huts we've stayed in, and expect to return to!

Weekend Trip to The Peacock Shepherds Hut
Beautifully clean and spacious Shepard's hut, so very well themed with great attention to detail , lovely friendly hosts, loved all the animals and the view and seclusion was amazing. A good distance from the next hut, at least two full fields away, so we felt like we were the only ones there, visited the nearby town of Ruthin, which was historical, pretty and well worth a visit. Came home after two nights relaxed and very happy - very good value for money

We had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous shepherds hut. Everything about our visit was just perfect. The setting was so peaceful and private and dreamy, such a beautiful little escape to relax and switch off. The hut itself was cosy, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need, you can really tell how much care and thought has gone into it. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Honestly, there is nothing we would change. We left feeling so happy and refreshed and would absolutely love to come back again. Could not recommend it more 💖

Absolutely delightful place!! We arrived in the pitch black but found it very easily. The hut was beautifully furnished, when we woke this complemented the absolutely breathtaking views on what was a very cold winter morning but the hut was very warm and cosy. I will 100% recommend this stay and will most likely be returning for a longer stay to take in some more of the Welsh countryside.

The hut was lovely and had everything that we need for weekend getaway. The land was so peaceful and there were alpacas nearby. We arrived late a night and took the wrong turn at first but once we got on the right path it was easy to find. Would recommend if you're looking for quiet time off.

The Peacock Shepherds Hut was amazing. The views are incredible and the hut was really comfortable and well thought out from the lovely Peacock details to underfloor heating. The facilities provided everything I needed to enjoy a peaceful break. Fantastic place to relax and reset listening to birds and enjoying the roaming peacocks and wandering down to see the Alpacas. Carol makes you feel so welcome. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends.

Such a hidden gem! Llwyn Onn is set in a beautiful location close to Betws-y-Coed, surrounded by fields & a majestic view of Snowdon. The sunsets were magical & we were lucky to see a meteor shower 1 night. We stayed in The Hut, which was perfect, very clean & well kept with a floor to roof glass viewing pain overlooking Snowdon, so if the weather isn’t great you can view in comfort. It was equipped with everything you need for a perfect nights sleep, we loved the comfy mattress & fluffy pillows.
warm blankets are provided. Needed for sitting around the campfire toasting marshmallows! This was our highlight along with the friendly, very cute Alpacas..Boo-boo, Ranger & Django!
A very well equipped separate kitchen making it easy to prepare food & a very clean & well kept communal bathroom area made our trip very comfortable & we can’t wait to go back! So much green space, fresh air & stunning 360 views, such a healing place. Book here & you won’t be disappointed.

Have already recommended this place to friends. We had a lovely stay in the sunshine. The hut is has everything you need in a compact but unsquashy space. Enjoyed some fine walks and a super day out in Ruthin. We'd also recommend the Red Lion for a visit. Ruth & Jude were both very helpful and welcoming. I'm sure we'll come back.

I had a wonderful stay in this charming shepherd’s hut nestled in a peaceful meadow. The hut was beautifully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and cozy getaway. The only things I would point out for anyone who doesn’t know the area- it is around 15 minutes each way to the local towns/shops, but this place is in the perfect location if you want to “switch off” and be surrounded by nature.
The hut has all of the essential items, such as shower gel, hand soap, fire wood, tea & coffee and salt & pepper. However, my only suggestion is that I personally think that some local produce such as some fresh milk & eggs would go a long way and would elevate the experience massively. In saying this, everything was perfect with our stay😊
