Guests to Rhos y Gallt describe the campsite as a little gem of a site - small, quite and tranquil with wonderful sunsets. The site can accommodate up to 5 caravans and 10 tents situated on a level 2 acre site within the beautiful rolling hills of Montgomeryshire in Mid Wales.
There are hard standing pitches with electric hook-up as well as grass pitches with and without electric hook-up. There is also a field bordering a river which is used for wild camping - but you'll have to share it with the sheep!
The toilet block has a family wet room with shower, toilet, wash hand basin and baby changing unit, a separate toilet, shower and kitchen area with freezer.
The site borders a river meadow where visitors can wonder down and take a walk down with the river bank, relax by the water edge, throw a few skimmers, do a spot of fishing or even go wild water swimming (at your own risk!).
Well behaved dogs are welcome (maximum 2 per unit).

What a perfect spot - well off the track but accessible, with a field for space, trees for woodland camping, a burbling stream, great compost toilets, fireplaces. What’s not to like?

Peaceful, quiet, private camp. Well maintained facilities. We got an upgrade to a cabin with amazing views. Unlike other campsites on open fields, this campsite is tucked under the canopy of trees. Would highly recommend.

Ross communicated perfectly before I arrived and met me when I arrived as he did with each person that followed to camp. Clean compost toilets and a tap as promised. I wanted for nothing.
It was so stunning to be there even with the wild winds that Ross had given me ample warning about. Skies were breathtaking , views were memorable , I loved it and thank you to Ross for keeping it simple and sharing his land.

Just a perfect all round site/field. A toilet and water a few steps away from your pitch, a beautiful view of the valley wherever you are, a peaceful and the easy arrival that just felt like you found a random field in the hills. What more could you ask for.

What an amazing site , staff are so friendly and really helpful. We had food which did not disappoint.. the views of the mountains and sea and opinions of amenities are 100% worth ago.. this is natural camping with compost toilets, showers with a view, stream swimming and the bonus a sauna.. There are standard toilets but don’t be afraid to give the eco friendly set up ago .. what the team have done is a credit to all.. definitely want to visit again.

We loved staying the night. We lucked out and we're the only people staying, so had the place to ourselves!
Lovely location for a campsite, right next to the river. Three clean compost toilets to choose from!
David was excellent, even though we didn't meet he messaged before and the morning after our stay.
Would definitely recommend this place to stay!

Lovely campsite, good thoughtfully planned facilities. On arrival i was very aware of the leisure centre next door imposing light, sound and visually not ideal. Having said that, once I had my van facing away from it, it didn’t detract from my stay. They have created a lovely peaceful campsite and I would stay again.
