Pods and pitches in North Wales at the foot of the Clwydian range, with the entire site available for gatherings

A back-to-nature bolthole with views of the Vale of Clywd, Clwydian Glamping Pods and Campsite provides a quiet space in a family farm for you and your loved ones to unwind. With its four pods situated next to one another, there's already a quiet communal atmosphere to this place, and that's before you take into account the grassy tent pitches beside them which allows for more guests to set up camp, too.

It's an easy life here for those who want it. Set on the hills above the little market town of Ruthin, families can book out the pods and pitches for a big summer holiday with one another, or couples can retreat here for a getaway and the opportunity to meet like-minded campers. For tent pitches, all your amenities are within arm's reach, from hot showers to toilets, with a communal kitchen and cooking facilities. For those in the pods, these cosy wooden cabins have their own toilet and sink, along with a kettle for those early morning cups of tea while overlooking the Clwydian hills, to the east, outside your door.

Few campsites come as ideally suited to a family or friends getaway, with the pods sleeping up to five—ideal for parents and their kids—while only a few tent pitches are made available. This means that, if you convince the whole family to turn up with you, you won't have to share the site with anyone else, ideal if you're looking for a break away with a large group of friends too. This is made even more inviting by its close proximity to the local pub, only a mile away from the site after a pleasant walk down country lanes.

Compared to the bustle of larger campsites, Clwydian provides a smaller, much more relaxed affair that all your family and friends can enjoy. Whether you're a couple looking for a much-needed dose of R&R in the Welsh hills, or you're looking for a big get-together with your nearest and dearest, you'll get what you're looking for.

Lovely campsite with the best hosts
Clwydian Campsite was a highlight of our trip. Our lovely hosts Rose and Raymond were a massive part of this and couldn't have been lovelier. Rose greeted us and told us where to pitch. The pitch itself was fantastic, beautiful views surrounded us and pods nearby looked lovely. We soon met Raymond at the campsite where he made a point of getting to know each and every camper with the warmest of welcomes. It was very clear they take great pride in providing the best stay for every guest. The facilities were wonderful and even had a communal kitchen available. Couldn't recommend this campsite or our hosts more highly and already looking forward to returning.

Quiet campsite
Gareth's land was wonderful. He welcomed us warmly to the site which was tucked away far from anyone else!! There was a fully equipped kitchen that we used and sat around the table to eat at. The showers were hot and powerful! The tent pitch was on a slight slope and spacious with views across the vale. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway!

Glamping Pod
Had a lovely stay at the pod in clywdian. The pod was lovely and spacious, perfect for two. The little kitchenette came stocked with little tea and coffee sachets, as well as sugar which I wasn't expecting. The seperate kitchen has a lot more features than I expected. You could cook a whole meal if you wanted! Ray and Rose were lovely and welcoming, all in all a very pleasant stay.

From the host
Our Glamping and Camping site is a small family run business on our farm in rural North Wales. With stunning views across lush green hills and valleys our site provides a unique opportunity for couples and families to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our Pods are the perfect for those who want a taste of ruggedness, without losing the all important home comforts. With heating, a kettle, fridge, kitchen sink, hot water and en-suite toilet, they are a perfect and quirky alternative.
