Roam this whole site and find Old Oak trees in our beautiful copse, 3 commercial fishing lakes to walk around, and a nature lake tucked away filled with lilies, birds darting in and around, and dragonflies to focus on and ground yourself.
Or just spend your time in our main wild orchard, this is filled with old apple trees wild flowers and has the Copse all down one side and mature tree lines on all the other 3. It is split in 4 so you have your own slice to enjoy with privacy and the feeling of seclusion and never many people on site at a time.
We have Robins rest which is our relaxation and hot tub area, this space is in the heart of the Orchard with comfy undercover seating for you to totally unwind, bird watch and relax. A 3hr session here is an additional £45.
The whole site has been designed to allow you to disconnect from the outside world and technology, to slow down and enjoy taking some time to connect with nature, yourself, and others in your group.

This family-run camping field on our laid-back livestock farm is full of rustic charm. Pitch wherever feels right—tent or camper van. Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. The Yurt is big and sleeps up to four very comfortably. It has its own stove and outside is a washroom just for you with hot shower , toilet and sinks. Your own meadow allows you to just relax and be.
Up on the campfield you can bring your own tent or hire a Belle tent from us with all the fittings to camp contentedly. Our new Wash House has hot showers, flushing toilets and basins. You can light a fire and cook up a BBQ or maybe just watch the world go by.
A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you.
We moved here after an 18 month search 11 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

This our second time camping here and we always look forward to coming so much - to the point we booked an extra night this time around! There's no better place to camp if you enjoy the natural world. There's woodland, a beautiful river deep enough to swim in but also with a shallow paddling beach. It's so lovely that you can camp both in a field, but also go down in the woodland where there are semi-hidden pitches close to the river, and lots of trees to string a hammock up.
Bats fly around every night. There's cows in the next door field, a horse called George, and David the owner is really friendly and helpful. We had great communication prior to coming because I had a query about a particular date, and he's been really helpful and accommodating since we arrived as well.

Beautiful, almost wild camping with my 13yr old son, who was looking for an 'Outdoor Boys' (YouTube) type experience. Came on a Monday so nice and quiet with only 1x other family staying. We camped in the woods, cooked over an open campfire and paddled in the stream. Water was lovely and clear and the sound of the stream was like a natural white noise soundtrack. David came to check we were all okay in the evening, a lovely person who was very laid back and helpful. As the sun went down there were a few bats flying low which were fun to watch. Had a great time and will look to come back.

Had a perfect weekend with a group of friends and kids, had the full field to ourselves, campfires, games, hanging out in the woods, adventuring down to the river. Very much a wild camp set up with simple basic facilities, very peaceful with fire pits provided, lots of wildlife and fed the chickens and met the horses.
Hosts could not have been more accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed, helping us find a good swimming spot in the river and even hosting an impromptu gig.
If you’re after a quiet natural wild camp experience could not recommend more! And
Hereford is a short drive away for supplies etc

This campsite is beautiful! We were a group of 11 and stayed in the woodland next to the river. The woodland was so cool during a very hot weekend and having the option to just have a sit down in the river was a game changer (the river itself is super clean and seems very healthy!). David is also a lovely host ☺️ we will definitely be coming back!

Camped for two nights with my family including two young kids under 3. We had a fantastic time, great views (day and night), caters nicely for kids without being over the top and providing the right amount of outdoor natural play, good basic facilities (absolutely fine by us!). Lots to do nearby. Pizza horse box was a great last minute addition that meant we could avoid cooking too! We would love to come back and stay longer! Thanks for the hospitality and providing such a great space!

David was a fabulous and friendly host. We had a lovely pitch and the site was just right for its proximity to Pen Y Fan which was one of the reasons we picked this site.
The site was great for our dog who loved the water and freedom of having some off lead adventures. David is very easy going and as long as they're not a nuisance it's fine. We loved saying hello to George the horse and he had some little treats from us.
Overall a great experience however if I were to be at all critical there's only one thing .. Another few campers arrived the following day and set up their tents right in front of the toilet area making it a little awkward for us as we then had to navigate around their camp to use it. The site instructions do ask politely for campers to keep the area around the toilet accessible... but I know not everyone follows those..
I think the toilet could do with a little bit of TLC as the door is a little worn out .. also it was a bit messy in there on our arrival so I did have to have a little tidy up
Overall though a great little wild camping site where you can enjoy camp fires and the tranquility and listening to the sound of the water.. we would stay here again.

I had a lovely time camping at Panpwton Farm. It's a beautiful place and the walk along the river into Knighton for groceries or fish and chips is quick, easy and relaxing. You can pitch where you like and I had plenty of space, peace & quiet.
While I was there, slightly off peak season, Offa's Treats was only open Saturday to Monday, but it may be different in the middle of the summer holidays. The ice cream was delicious.
The toilets and showers are plummed, good quality and well-lit. The showers even have enough space for you to put your dry clothes (almost unheard of at campsite showers for some reason!). There's a shared kettle and fridge which is really convenient.
I heard the faint trickle of the river at night but the train didn't disturb me at all.
Offa's Dyke path is immediately quite steep going north, which may not be accessible to everyone. Going south it is also pretty steep leaving Knighton. In either direction, the views are great once you're up out of the valley.
For trips out, I'd also recommend the adorably named waterfall water break-it's-neck, the secondhand bookshop Elderwood Books, the castle in Ludlow and the ruins in Clun.

When to go
May through September is the most popular time for hiking, boat cruises, and water sports along the Wye River, but outdoor activities are possible year-round with the right gear. For the most impressive views, come in spring when colourful wildflowers bloom along the riverbanks or in fall when the forests cast off their autumn leaves. The biennial Wye Valley River Festival (May) brings a series of free events to towns throughout the Wye Valley.
Know before you go
- The Wye River runs for about 250 kilometres, from Plynlimon in Wales to the Severn estuary. The main towns along the Wye include Chepstow, Monmouth, and Ross-on-Wye—hikes and boat cruises set out from all three.
- Towns along the Wye Valley have various options for camping and restaurants. For camping gear or to stock up on supplies, Chepstow and Monmouth have the most choice.
- Most campsites require advance booking, and many ask for the full payment in advance. Be sure to check opening dates, as many close in the winter months.
