We loved camping here! Pridie was super friendly and very informative about her land and surroundings. She took the time to chat with us and made us feel very welcomed. The Land is beautiful and can’t wait to come again the summer.

It was a lovely weekend camping at Cattlestone. Very clean facilities and great views. Donna and the staff were so welcoming and checks that we were doing fine with our stay. We even got to meet the friendly highland bull named Stanley. 😁

Oh my goodness. This site was simply magical. We were blessed with beautiful weather, but I’m sure no amount of rain could take away from this beautiful place. Pridie clearly loves and cares for her land. The pitches are large and well laid out, maximising privacy, it was quiet when we were there but I imagine it never feels “busy.” A fire pit is a great addition and the wood bundle was brilliant value for money. The composting loos were fab, the shower facilities basic but clean and hot! Washing facilities were great with eco-friendly washing up liquid provided. Plugs with USB in the Byre (where washing facilities are) for charging your tech (but hardly any signal - bliss.) We missed Pridie’s walk but overheard a bit of one and chatting with her she is clearly extremely knowledgeable about the land she cares for and I would definitely sign up for a walk next time we go. So many beautiful walks on your doorstep, with helpful walks highlighted in the Byre for you to explore, which was really helpful and led to us discovering some stunning walks nearby. This will be one of the very rare sites which we will revisit.

Weekend Trip to The Nut Plat Retreat

We had such a lovely stay in the nut plat. The bedroom cabin was clean and cosy and we loved just relaxing, cooking and jumping in the hot tub as soon as the sun went down. We found the hot tub very easy to use with Duncan providing unlimited wood. The first time we lit it, it took a few hours to heat up but it retains its heat well and on the following days needed much less time to be ready. Duncan mostly left us alone but was very welcoming and even posted my speaker back to me which I left in the cabin. Would definitely recommend :)

Beautiful views and incredibly peaceful setting. Pridie was super welcoming and friendly. I can imagine that if the site was busy then the facilities would be in high demand, there is only one shower and it's in the same room as the only flushing toilet (there are two eco loos in the camping fields) but it was no problem when we stayed.

We absolutely love camping on Pridie and James’ land, it was perfect back to basic camping, compost loo and shower/wash room, plenty of space and outstanding views. We will 100% be returning especially when the sauna is built! This campsite was so peaceful and welcoming! The horse and sheep in the meadows next to your pitch are just incredible! Also worth getting a box or two of wood as the fires in the evening just top the day of perfectly! If you want a lovely refreshing weekend I can’t recommend this site enough! We didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful location! Would highly recommend! We were a little bit confused on how to get to the site, Chloe was brilliant and sent us through some directions and we found it easily from them. Nice private camping areas with their own firepit and composting toilet. Great for couples or groups of people as there are lots of different pitches offering different unique locations and views. Looking up and seeing the stars above a fire pit, priceless!

Just what I needed! A peaceful retreat with a wonderful view. The caravan was beautifully presented with everything I needed to be cosy for the night and cool for the day. Thank you for making me feel welcome

Thank you Charlie for a lovely stay. The plot was very well located, and amenities excellent. We enjoyed a lovely walk and coffee before heading home. There is a pub nearby, which was walkable and good. The only thing we weren’t so keen on was the sound from the clay pigeon shooting next door in the morning! But would definitely come back!

We have stayed at 68 Degrees West a couple of times now. It’s a great campsite. There is plenty of space in the field, so even with other campervans there, it feels like you have privacy and room to enjoy the beautiful views. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Camping is all about horses for courses: some people want to stay somewhere so remote that it’s accessible only by car, while others prefer the convenience of getting to the site by train and then being able to reach everything within a short walk. If you belong in the second camp (and if you are after a holiday at the seaside), Glamping at Swanage Bijou by PitchingIt, in Dorset, might well be the answer to your prayers. You’ll have little need for your car at this family- and dog-friendly Swanage site, since it’s only a short stroll from the High Street (about 10 minutes) and an even shorter stroll from the beach (five minutes). Despite being so close to town, though, the site feels remarkably peaceful – likely thanks to the high hedges that surround it and make it feel more secluded than it is. Bell tents decorated with bunting and floral accents sit on a level grassy field that’s part of Kirkwood Park, an outdoor complex that includes an 18-hole golf course, plus foot and frisbee golf. There is also direct access to a well-equipped playground and to a skateboard park with multiple ramps where the kids can practise their kickturns and flips. Our elevated position gives a spectacular view across the valley, and behind is forestry and open countryside leading to the top station of Bike Park Wales. We are 100 metres from the mouth of the closed Merthyr Tunnel, hence we are known locally as 'Tunnel Farm'. The line of the disused track now proves a level walk through woodland which starts at the bottom of our drive and continues past the Rhoswenallt Inn, 1 mile, and on to Llwydcoed, a further 2 miles.
