Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home in nature at some pitches — including real toilets, showers, and kitchen.
Fun, laid-back, glamping that's ideal for groups, with silent discos and wood-fired hot tubs.

Planning a unique getaway with friends and family? It’s the more the merrier at Campfires and Stars, a glamping site in the North Cotswolds where you and your loved ones can celebrate in style with spacious bell and safari tents, private hot tubs, and easy access to some of the region’s best activities.

Eco-friendliness is at the heart of Campfires and Stars, exemplified by the solar array used to power the entire site and its facilities. This includes hot showers, flushing toilets, and electric cooking and heating, ensuring that while its carbon footprint is low, the standard of its amenities is high. These creature comforts extend to your accommodation, so you can expect the likes of comfy double beds made from recycled timber, and wood-fired heaters for those colder nights.

Wildlife roams your surroundings, so expect to see exploring peacocks, sheep, and chickens, with the expansive Cotswolds countryside yours to explore either via some excellent local walks or by hiring out a bike. Both the safari and bell tents have a private decking, too, providing the perfect vantage point from which to admire the views.

Friendly and helpful hosts Joanna and Sam are wonderfully accommodating, even taking guests for a spin in their classic Land Rover to the nearby Cotswold Distillery, Hook Norton Brewery, or the local pub for a tipple or two. The fun continues back at camp, as guests can let their hair down with a silent disco in the wood-fired hot tubs, before gathering around the firepit. Here you can rustle up some dinner gathered from the nearby farm shop, or simply admire the stars in this low-pollution area. Campfires and Stars is a glampsite run by people who know how to help their guests have a good time!

We had a brilliant time here. Sam was so helpful! It's a great spot, nice and quiet with lovely views. We enjoyed the hot tub and bbq. Our children and dog also had a blast. There's some lovely walks and great pubs around. Thank you Sam!

From the host
Nestled in the Rolling North Cotswolds is our 12 acre, Multi World Award Winning, unique, family-run, luxury Glamping experience, with something for everyone. The service we offer is intended to be fun, friendly, enjoyable and unforgettable. Joanna is a beautiful wife who has lived in the Cotswolds for most of her life. Her cakes and enthusiasm are legendary. Sam used to be a Cotswold guide. His cakes are rubbish, and his stories are hard to believe. (But largely true). Inventor of Dirty Pottery and Pizza, he will take you and your friends in an Old Land Rover 109 to the Gin Distillery, Brewery or local pub. Ghost Tours involving pubs, & silent discos are another favourite! We love rugby, keep wild chickens, ducks, Peacocks, have a slighty weird dog and in springtime have lambs.
Nearby attractions

Jeremy Clarkson's famous farm, Diddley Squat, has an on-site shop 20 minutes away. Blenheim Palace is less than a 30-minute drive away, a spectacular 18th-century country house that is one of the largest in all of England. Here you'll be able to visit Sir Winston Churchill's birth room, with the palace also boasting an exhibition dedicated to the former Prime Minister, and there's even a trail through its garden that guides visitors to his favourite places to visit in Blenheim's park and formal gardens.

Food and drink

The Cotswolds Distillery is a five-minute drive away, where visitors can book a taste tour around the distillery and cask warehouse. Not only will you be able to see the process behind making the award-winning spirits, but the tour also concludes with samples of their spirits and liqueurs. Hook Norton Brewery is also a five-minute drive, an independent family business that also provides a tasting tour, while its Malthouse Kitchen delivers a cracking breakfast or lunch – the Master Brewers Breakfast is recommended, but make sure you book in advance (01608 730384)! There are a couple of great pubs within a 30-minute walk from the site. Try the Blaze Inn Saddles, a local bikers' pub frequently descended upon by friendly petrolheads showing off their wheels in its expansive pub garden. The Wykham Arms is a 17th-century inn run by a husband-and-wife team who happen to both be classically trained chefs. As such, their menu is higher-class fare than your typical pub grub, and they also provide an extensive range of wines.
