There's also a SeaQuarium, adventure golf and a 40-metre ferris wheel among the amusements of the seafront. You can discover the roots of the resort with a trip to the Weston Museum and see the Victorian architecture by strolling along the prom. For a wilder walk, head south of town to Brean Down where a 1.5-mile headland juts out in to the Bristol Channel offering spectacular views, birdwatching and a special habitat for wildlife.

Inland, it's around 20 miles to the underground attractions at Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge and not much further to England's smallest city, Wells, with its disproportionately large cathedral. Alternative and quirky Bristol has plenty of attractions if you fancy a day in the city during your camping and Glamping Holiday and is well within an hour's drive.

Weekend Trip to Cholderton Estate, near Stonehenge

We had a really lovely stay in the Bustard Hut. It was peaceful, quaint, and beautifully designed. The interior was unique and thoughtfully put together, and the hut had great facilities considering its limited kitchen space. The little touches like the marshmallows, bread, and condiments were very much appreciated. The only downsides were that the hut wasn’t quite as private as it appeared in the pictures, as we could see and be seen by the neighbouring hut from the hot tub, which wasn’t quite what we imagined. Also, there weren’t any trolleys available on arrival, so there was a lot of back and forth with bags since you can’t park next to the hut. A few things that would be useful to have are some barbecue tools and maybe a fire mitt, as we had to use kitchen utensils to manage the fire. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the thoughtful touches throughout.

Very private, lovely place so quiet, facilities were great, Chris was amazing and went ab9ve and beyond for us. Even put gazebo up over the seating area as on arrival it was raining hard. Yurt was amazing bed was really comfortable. Hot tub was an added bonus and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. our dogs absolutely love the grounds. Would highly recommend. And I think we will be back again one day.

We had a great stay in the Wye Pod at Great house farm. Communication was fab and super speedy! All info was sent over on email before our stay and made it very easy for checking in. The pod was cosy and clean, as well as the hot tub being the perfect temperature for arrival. The views are amazing and we all wished we could wake up and use a hot tub with that view everyday! the animals are all cheeky and fun to watch, my favourite was the donkeys! We had a really great dog friendly stay and would defo stay again! The only thing we wouldn't have minded more of was the tea, coffee & sugar. Otherwise a stunning stay!

This was a super last-minute booking, despite knowing that it was going to be pretty wet all weekend. Despite the rain, this was a magical place and my son and I had a special time together. The rain maybe made it even more special. Anna is lovely and very helpful and their dog spent quite a lot of time with us because he realised we would continue to throw a stick for it until we went to sleep. Which was bliss!

The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. We had an amazing time and would definitely return and recommend the stay.

This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

3 nights at Homemade Holidays

Wow, wow, wow. So we had a fantastic time at Kingfisher Yurt, relaxing under the Oak and Ash trees. Swimming pond was perfect. Yurt was really comfortable and the kitchen was fab for dining and playing games, We hired the hot tub, which was also lovely. Jan was a perfect host. We shall be back.

Weekend Trip to Great House Farm Luxury Pods

We had a lovely time in the Irfon pod, everything was exactly as described and our hosts were wonderful. The animals, who were very cunning and hatched their escape were so delightful and really made the trip special, I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a break from city life and some time around friendly farmstock (I wish I could have taken your goat home)

Weekend Trip to Westland Farm

We booked a weekend stay with our daughter and it was lovely, very peaceful and calm. She loved feeding the pigs! The hot tub stays hot for a long time once you’ve got it going so worth firing it up nice abs early. The site owners were always around and really helpful too.

This traditional British seaside resort is the place for camping and glamping in Somerset if you want sea, sand and all the fun of the fair as well as easy access to some of the county's most popular attractions. This town on the Bristol Channel saw business boom in Victorian times and it has a Grand Pier, bandstand and plenty of elegant buildings to prove it.
