There is a footpath running alongside it taking you 25 minutes to a village shop one way and 20 minutes to a good pub the other way, all across fields. There are some amazing walks to do from the site, and being on the edge of the cotswolds there are plenty of pretty villages and market towns to explore. This family-run camping field on our laid-back livestock farm is full of rustic charm. Pitch wherever feels right—tent or camper van. This year, we’re introducing the “Missing Camper Trail” hidden in the woodland—can you find Colin? You’ll also find a new zip line and a slackline for adventurers big and small. Mud Café and den building are still here, along with teddy bears scattered through the woods—no official trail, just hidden friends to find.
Also new this season - a handcrafted washing-up area built by Farmer Ben from wood right off our farm.
Coming soon: We’re hoping for showers this season, but we’ll update when they’re up and running.
Wild camping here means no electricity—just two lovely compost loos and a covered cold-water tap. So bring your guitar, light a fire, and soak up the simplicity... The way camping was intended.

Our stay at Elmwicke was lovely. The facilities were great and were really well cleaned during our time here. The electric hook up sites were quite sizeable and we barely even heard our neighbours. We also had a chat to the staff in the reception / cafe for some advice on pathways we can access and they were a great deal of help!

Lovely big flat pitch, nice site with both a good pub and large national trust property within walking distance. Charlotte was very friendly and helpful. Price was good! Only downside was the lack of a shower for campers(caravans and motorhomes have a full setup avaible in sense of waste water, toilet area, fresh water, although we have been asured this will be rectified over winter( site was previous only caravans and motorhomes) I hope that charlotte and family have had a succesful 1st year! Would recommend

Great place for back to basic camping. We had a great time and the kids loved running around the field and picking the sunflowers next door. Toilets provided but no drinking water which is fine as we brought our own anyway.
Only a few other campers there so plenty of space, booked 2 pitches as there was a few of us and we could easily park up close to each other.
12 o’clock check out is great as it gave us time to fry up some breakfast before leaving.
Would recommend to anyone who love the open space and basic camping. Hosts were easy to contact and very helpful, gave clear instructions to find the field and didn’t have to bother them for anything.

We stayed at Bushcrafter camp at Oak, Ash & Thorn and had a great evening. The site is not as much of a walk as expected, and is lovely and quiet, enough so that the large birthday group who were occupying one of the other camps didn't disturb us at all. Both Bo, and Skip who showed us around, were lovely to deal with. The only slight negative was it was a bit of a walk to reach the toilets, and I'd recommend locating them the first time in the daylight... I got a bit lost in the dark the first time looking but we found it eventually!
Would happily stay here again!
