Our glamping site is set on our family farm in the rural Welsh Border in Herefordshire and we are a dog friendly site. We have just 3 tents in 2.5acres, we want our guests to enjoy the peace and privacy of a rural getaway but have the luxuries of a comfy bed, toilets and showers, a kitchenette and a private fire pit. We are nestled between family farms and surrounded by sheep, cattle and footpaths, so an adventure is at your doorstep. Emmetts on Exmoor is part of the highest farm on the moor, up at an altitude of 1250 feet with gorgeous views out over the surrounding scenery of the national park. You won't find a better place for spotting wildlife right from your tent! Red deer herds regularly frequent the moor which is opposite your pitch. Other wildlife in the area include cuckoos, woodpeckers, golden plovers, foxes and much more! This is a place that’s big on space but small on guest numbers (just four pitches which are not visible from one another), so there’s always plenty of space around to soak up the rural atmosphere, spot wildlife and play games. The site is unmanned so make sure you have all the info you need before setting off and it’s worth noting that Exmoor National Park was designated Europe’s first Dark Sky Reserve back in 2011, so you should hopefully be in for spectacular displays of stars by night too. Unsurprisingly, this is a great area for walks and mountain bike rides; other activities in the area include things like fishing, sailing and pony trekking. If you’ve still got any energy left after that little lot, the farm’s all-weather tennis court is available to hire for a game or two. There is a proper shower and loo available next to the car parking area and all pitches are approximately a 500 metre walk away from this area through woodland and across pasture. Remember the site is off-grid so it’s a good idea to remember to bring along a torch. Guests are welcome to bring along a barbecue or hire a firepit and purchase wood onsite. Simonsbath (5 minutes) has a pub and a tearoom and Exford and Withypool (both within 15 minutes) have good village shops for picking up any other supplies you might need. The Poltimore Arms and The Exmoor Forest Inn are two very local pubs that are well worth a visit.

Small dog-friendly site on the banks of the river Severn Adjacent to the Severn Way and half an hour’s walk from the canal Wildlife haven within walking distance of pubs and Frampton on Severn Craving a peaceful time filled with wildlife watching, long walks and relaxing by the water? On the banks of the River Severn, Baldwin’s Brook Glamping in Gloucestershire fits the bill. This small site is a wildlife haven adjacent to the Severn Way, a long-distance trail which traces the river downstream. Birdwatching prospects are excellent here, and there’s plenty of peace if you’d rather sit and relax by a firepit or check out the stunning views and sunsets. The site is part of a working family farm with lots of livestock. From the farm, it’s a 45-minute walk to Frampton on Severn, which is home to the longest village green in England and the lively Frampton Country Fair (think funfair… and 400 stalls full of good stuff). Baldwin’s Brook Glamping is also half an hour’s walk away from the Cotswold Canal Trust Visitor Centre by The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal if you’d like to grab a spot on a boat trip or sip a coffee by the canal. When you'd rather have a chilled beer, two pubs are within half a mile of the site (only 10 minutes’ walk away). Strike up a conversation with a local about the next Severn Bore, the huge tidal wave which races for 25 miles from Awre to Gloucester down the estuary just a handful of times per year.

Lovely rural sight with lots of choice of pitches. Although you have to choose before you go so you may not realize how close to the toilets you'll be or whether you are in an exposed spot. We got a strong wind up the top, but it was October. There are great views from the top field. The toilets and shower facilities are very good and spotless. There is a beautiful ( but not easy) walk down through the woods to the sandy burroughs and beach, which was difficult for us with some physical disabilities. You could not get a wheel chair down there. Great place for people who love walking, nature and rare plants. Great for families.

Warm shower and clean composting loo. Helpful little things like the - rechargeable lanterns for use and bottle lanterns when it got dark. A plus too, lots of kitchen ware and crockery.

Amazing quiet spot (except for some noisy sheep!), plenty of space per pitch & lovely sea views. excellent shower and toilet facilities a very short walk away. Picnic bench and fire pit and wood provided. The tent itself was amazing - looked brand new, on a raised deck which kept it dry and clean & chairs to sit and watch the sun rise with a cuppa, comfy warm beds, rugs, blankets, hot water bottles all provided. Cute little “kitchen” hut with a gas hob and kettle and pans and crockery and cool box - everything we needed for a short break was thought of and provided. Great communication with the hosts beforehand as well. Would highly recommend and love to return if we’re in the area again.

I had the most amazing camping experience here after not camping for 10 years, and it couldn’t have been better! 🏕️ The view is absolutely stunning, and the bell tent was a great size – clean, comfortable, and really cosy. The toilets and showers are quite basic, but honestly perfect for this kind of stay. The host was super helpful with excellent communication throughout, which made everything easy and stress-free. I especially loved the firepit, and wood was available, which made the evenings extra special. 🔥✨ Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and gave me the perfect return to camping. Highly recommended!

We loved the open, spacious and quiet camping spots at Goren Farm. The showers were hot and the toilets, communal fridge and sink were clean. We went to the farm shop and cafe on our last day and had scrumptious food. Cheese scone with extra cheese and brie panini. Yum! We are going to come back to camp again and definitely for the Goren Children's festival next year! We went to Tukers Arms on the recommendation of another review and loved it. Also the Beer Light Railway is worth a visit. :D

Lovely peaceful woodland camping among nature. Personal touches dotted around the campsite were great, and fab local instructions to the pub and nearby walks where we spotted a trio of deer hopping through the fields!
