Willow Valley Holiday Park

33 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents4 acres · Bude , England
This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant. Chris and Jen both love Cornwall and were married just down the coast in Rock in 2017. After that, they looked for an opportunity to move to Cornwall and Willow Valley has provided the perfect opportunity. There are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Northcombe Farm Shepherds Hut

1 unit · Glamping21 acres · Beaworthy, England
Whether you’re planning on darting down to Dartmoor National Park for hikes and the like or exploring sandy beaches and surf hotspots on the Devon coast, you’re going to need somewhere cosy to stay that’s within reach of it all. That’s exactly what you get with the shepherd’s hut at Northcombe Farm, just half an hour’s drive from Dartmoor National Park, 35 minutes from Bude and 40 minutes from Widemouth beach. That’s not all – the shepherd’s hut also has stabling facilities available for one horse, and with three bridleways nearby, there are plenty of options for outings. With two private fishing lakes, you’ll be free to spend the morning fishing for roach and tench if you wish. The river Wolf also runs through the site’s boundaries. It’s likely you’re already aware of the excellent beaches along the south Devon coast, but fab views can also be caught from the ferry or boat trips that operate around the coast. Soak up all that spectacular scenery from the South West Coast Path too, along with splendid seaside towns along the clifftop route. South Devon has three areas designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as a World Heritage Site, a selection of national nature reserves, Sites of Special Scientific Interest, forests, woodlands and parks. They’re all mighty good places to appreciate nature at its finest. Beaworthy (10 minutes’ drive) first, perhaps, for granite tors, standing stones and ancient woodlands? Or Dartmoor’s ponies, stannary towns and peaceful villages?

Shepherds Hut Hideaway in Devon!

2 units · Glamping4 acres · Bude, England
Welcome to Livit Hideaway- a hidden gem in the Devon countryside. Stay in one of our two beautiful hand crafted Shepherds huts tucked away in our peaceful small holding and hobby vineyard. Surrounded by nature you can truly unwind in the wood fired hot tub as you admire the far reaching views. Livit Hideaway is a smallholding of around 3.75 acres where we grow 200 vines for wine production, we make cider from our apples and grow our own vegetables and fruit produce. It's the ideal place to relax and really switch off. We are perfectly placed half way between Bideford and Bude, if you love the beach, then just 25 minutes in either direction you will find some of the best in the South West. We recently acquired this already established site where the previous owners ran a thriving holiday business and shared their wonderful space with guests over the last 4 years. They have passed the baton to us and we are thrilled to take over and continue to create unique new experiences for guests who visit. We run another glamping business close by called Livit Adventures- it's a family friendly site with lots of activities on offer during the summer season. We purchased this new site so we could establish a family home for ourselves as well as continue our passion for the holiday accommodation business. We hope you love it as much as we do. Here at Livit Hideaway we have two hand crafted Shepherds huts. Each hut has its own unique setting within our smallholding. The huts have wood fired hot tubs, mains electric and mains water supply, a lovely shower room with loo, washbasin and shower. We provide all bedding and towels so you don't have to bring your own. There is a cosy sitting/dining area inside by the fully equipped kitchen which includes a butler sink, oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Each outside area includes a fire pit with a bbq grill and seating for dining and relaxing. Everything you really need for you country escape.

Slow Glamping at Tillislow Farm

1 unit · Glamping350 acres · Okehampton, Devon, South West England
Escape to Devon and enjoy the luxury of our shepherds hut & hot tub. We're not your average campsite. Our family farm is 350 acres, here you’ll have your own private woodland during your stay. Take a dip in the wood fire hot tub, use the outdoor shower and chill with a glass of wine next to the fire pit. We’ve kitted out an old farm silo and made it a unique outdoor kitchen with all the essentials. The shepherds hut has a double bed fitted, indoor flushing loo and sink. It also has a wood burner to keep you cosy during winter. It's fully insulated and has lighting, as well as plugs so you can charge your phones. The woodland itself is all yours during your stay. it's a native copse (small woodland) which is under 1 acre. There's a stream which runs through the copse, at the entrance a small bridge connects the field to the woods. Tillislow Farm is over 350-acres which includes the main farm, woodlands, streams and ofcourse Slow Glamping. The farm has been run by the same family (Hopper's) for a century. Today it's managed by Jon’s uncle (David) and dad (Michael). Previously a dairy farm, now they rear beef cattle and grow wheat and barley. There’s plenty to discover for fellow nature lovers. If you want to venture further than the campsite, you can head down to the farm yard - please bear in mind it’s a working farm so keep an eye out for tractors, machinery and livestock. If you continue further on, you’ll end up in Tillislow wood. The ancient woodland is teaming with wildlife - if you’re lucky you might spot a deer. Follow the path (an old railway track) which runs alongside the river and you’ll come across the quarry, a little further is a bridge. This is our favourite place on the farm to walk. For the very brave, enjoy a refreshing dip in the River Carey.

Farmer Oaks Hut

1 unit · Glamping1 acre · Devon, South West England
Set among the green countryside of the rural west of Devon, Farmer Oak's Hut is a welcoming glamping site tucked away in the corner of a peaceful field. Swap your car for an old-fashioned apple cart and cart your kit over to this smart shepherd's hut for a peaceful stay in a private enclosed garden. Although the name of the hut is inspired by the protagonist of 'Far from the Madding Crowd' Gabriel Oak, this shepherd's hut in Dippertown near Tavistock and just over the border with Cornwall has a good deal more mod cons than the one in Hardy's novel (there's deliberately no TV or wifi, though – this place was designed for switching off). The hut has an en-suite shower room with your own fluffy towels and a "proper" WC, of course there's a comfy double box-bed with fairy lights and lanterns for you to create a romantic atmosphere. The signature cast iron EVERHOT stove is available for those chillier nights, and for food prep you're covered with a toaster, fridge, microwave and two-ring electric hob and the EVERHOT even has a built in oven - rare for a shepherd hut. There are also outdoor kitchen facilities, with enamel cups and plates as well as pots and pans you can use over the firepit. In the garden, a wooden table, benches and traditional deckchairs are available, and there's a covered area for shade or shelter from the rain. In the field, a short distance from the hut, there's a little store where you can buy homemade jams, chutneys, marmalade and fresh eggs; the owners also can supply you with fresh bread to order and scones for that must-have Devon cream tea. NEWS UPDATE - We now offer a weekly discount. You ca stay for up to 7 nights for discounted price of £385. To get your discount please message us for a discount code before booking online.
