The yurt bamboo enclosures contains a campfire area, hammock and camping chairs with natural willow for protection from the elements. The 2 equipped kitchens have 2 fridge freezers, pots, pans, forks, mugs, plates etc along with tea bags, sugar and kettle/toaster/microwave. There is a gas hob inside, or you can take one of the portable gas hobs back to your yurt for a cuppa. These 2 shared kitchens have indoor seating for 6 people. I would say the beautiful scenery, the sea views and the peaceful nature of the campsite, along with it's close proximity to Polperro (just 15 mins walk), is a key feature. We also have a large 16 seated outdoor table, a small 9 hole football golf course at the other end of the field (400 metres away, so it's out of earshot), which is free for guests to use any time of the day. There are a couple of swings, a swing ball and a football goal for the restless as well as a vegetable patch, sweet peas, many flowers/hanging baskets and a herb garden for those with an interest in the garden. If it's animals you like, there are many small birds, especially skylarks and yellow hammers, which roam about the site freely. We also have 6 chickens, 3 ducks and some fish which you may feed at 9am at the duck pond/chicken coup. To see the 2 ponds, you would need to turn left out of the car park and enjoy a short 5 minute walk down the farms driveway. To see the ducks, you would go need to go under the wooden archway then down the path to the large pond which has an attractive/relaxing setting. Once you return to your yurt and you have enjoyed a drink from the fridge/kitchen, you might want to wander across the grass cut path, past the football golf course and down the lane to the historic fishing village of Polperro (voted 2nd most attractive village in Great Britain in a recent televised poll). This quaint village has many family run shops, pubs, cafes and a few restaurants, most with indoor and outdoor seating areas. You can enjoy a boat ride to Looe which is another popular fishing town which has 2 golden sandy beaches and more shops/coastal walks to explore. My personal favourite coastal walk would be starting from Looe's neighbouring village, Hannafore, walking towards Talland (50 mins with a great outdoor lunchtime/evening 'smugglers cafe'), before finally heading onwards to Polperro (another 20 mins) for refreshments. This is just one of the many routes to explore which hugs the coast through most of it's journey.
