Pop-up Outwest is a quiet secluded site on a 200-acre organic free-range family farm in the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside, and just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Trowbridge. This is a splendid spot in which to switch off for a bit: it’s surrounded by farm fields (with grazing cows) and woodland areas, with several footpaths leading off from the farm into the local area. There are lots more trails to stroll along through the country lanes, leading to small villages such as Steeple Ashton, Edington and Bratton and furthur from us is Bath, about half an hour’s drive away if you fancy a change of scenery. Life on site is pretty straightforward: the site is simple to get to from the nearby A350, and with easy access through the private gate into the pitching area. Barbecues are permitted on site, and firepits available to hire – either one being a mighty fine idea to keep you warm as you spend evenings gazing out over views of the Westbury White Horse hills (which is a five-minute drive away if you want a closer look). Facilities here are minimal to preserve the peace of the place, but guests will have access to portaloos in the pitching field.

With independent shops, pubs and cafés, plus its very own brewery, the town is an attraction in its own right but also a handy local base for any camping holiday. Whether you're venturing into the New Forest, down to Bournemouth or south to the Solent Coast, there's plenty to do in the vicinity.
