A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you. We moved here after an 18 month search 8 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

Wow, Little Eden is exactly what it says it is. It has everything for a wonderful camping experience. You are totally emmersed in Nature. You can hear the wild life and birds around you. You can use a fire pit and sit outside under the stars, whilst keeping warm. The decor is beautiful, the facilities are great. The walking straight from the site was amazing and the views from littlehangman down into the town were stunning. Paul provided us with a big bucket of logs and we kept the fire going for ages. I found Qookey Farm Campsite by accident but liked the sound of not, being close to Wells and Glastonbury. It's quite a find. Each pitch is spacious, with its own power source and refuse collection point. Toilets are close by - the only downside? No shower facility. I'd recommend it to anyone..

My family and I stayed at this picturesque site for 2 weeks and we had an amazing time. Lesley and her husband Paul were wonderful hosts, always happy to chat and a fountain of knowledge about the area. They kept the facilities clean even over a busy bank holiday weekend. There were two flushing toilets and one portaloo (to save those at the top of the site from walking too far), two warm showers, washing up facilities and a lovely converted railway carriage that had electrical points and a fridge freezer. On the few days we had rain this carriage was a great space to eat or play board games. The site has outstanding views overlooking the valley with combe martin bay. Alongside it is a public footpath taking you to great hangman and further Exmoor trails. You can walk to combe martin from here but it is a steep hill back up so bear that in mind if you take a lot of stuff to the beach. Also being up so high you get the spectacular views but it can be windy on occasions so bear the weather in mind when choosing your spot (you are not assigned a specific position so you can move if the weather changes). What i really liked was that the site was not overcrowded even when fully booked as the hosts keep numbers low. This meant it was not noisy and you did not feel like you were on top of anyone. We would definitely come back here.

The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. This was good trip. The campsite is large and open so you can pick any spot you like. There is a place for a campfire in the middle of the field with some seats. There is drinking water on site and the toilets are very decent with toilet paper and soap provided. There is a shop where u can get wood, vegies, cold drinks and other bits (soft drinks only) The staff running the site are very friendly. There is showers on site with hot water and fairly good pressure. There is lots of green fields and a few local attractions. We did the Glastonbury Tor. I recommend doing it in the evening when the sun goes down. Be careful tho, it's quite steep so wear good shoes. On the farm itself you can see rabbits, lamas and goats. If you walk up the hill a bit you might see larga large herd of bulls who turned out to be very friendly (if you feed them some grass, but be careful, it's a bull). We were also lucky to see army planes and helicopters doing a very low fly by above the camping site. Very impressive. Overall we had a good time and it was a cheap little holiday.

Exmoor National Park and Jurassic Coast within a 45-minute drive Private toilet, shower, firepit and kitchen unit at each pitch If you quite fancy the idea of wild camping but aren’t sure you’ll take to the idea of abandoning such things as toilets, there's a great compromise to be had in the form of Camp Wild at Burrow Hill Farm. This secluded sites on a Devon hillside have all the atmosphere of a proper wild camping location: it’s completely off grid (so you’ll need to bring torches), with just a couple of large pitches and well away from any roads.. As the pitches are not accessible by car your kit will be transported for you. After that, you’re left to your own devices to forage for wood, build your campfire, or explore the footpaths that can be accessed from the farm. You’ll be sharing your space with lots of wildlife, so sit or stroll quietly and you may spot badgers and deer in the field or buzzards, ravens and swallows in the sky overhead. And even if you’re not lucky on that front, there’s many a pretty thing to see among the wildflowers, the hedgerows and the woodlands. Later on, the dark skies lend themselves well to nights of stargazing, and you may see the bats at play in the woods or hear the odd owl hooting. And those amenities? There’s a portable toilet, a solar shower tent and a camping kitchen unit for each pitch, and you can get water from a spring (piped from the main house supply). Everdene Hut

Everdene Hut is a traditional shepherd’s hut on wheels located in a secluded location beside the pond at Laverstock which offers far reaching countryside views with a private space to enjoy the fire pit and star gazing. The hut has a cosy double bed, small table with stools and is heated by a wood burner, perfect for a relaxing comfortable stay. Rechargeable lanterns are provided and found in the washroom. There is a separate kitchen shed hut next to the Everdene Hut which has a generous supply of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. A two-ring gas hob, kettle, barbecue, and fire pit are available for cooking. Water is provided in the hut kitchen. There is a shared washroom located at the farm (approximately 100m from the Hut) with a walk-in shower, WC and a small kitchen unit with a sink and draining board for washing up. The washroom also has a washing machine, tumble dryer plus a fridge with freezer compartment, trolleys and electricity for charging.

There are plenty of flat spots to choose from too! With Ilfracombe, the South West Coast Path, and beautiful sandy beaches just 15 minutes away, we’re the ideal base for your North Devon adventures. Nestled next to Exmoor National Park, just five minutes from Combe Martin and the coast, our family-friendly campsite offers a traditional camping experience in the heart of North Devon. With the South West Coast Path nearby, we’re the perfect base for keen walkers too. We welcome tents across our 50 non-electric grass pitches, each with space for up to six guests and stunning countryside and coastal views—perfect for sunset watching. Campfires and fire pits are welcome, with logs available on-site and fire pits to hire, ideal for toasting marshmallows under the stars. Up to two dogs are welcome per pitch too! We are open from the 23rd to the 1st of June, weekends from the 20th of June to the 20th of July, and from the 24th of July to the 31st of August for the summer holidays. Our campsite offers eco-friendly loos and showers, plus a converted horse box with flushing toilets, extra showers, and a washing-up area. You can hire a fire pits (wood available to buy onsite), and we’ve got USB sockets for phone charging and a freezing facility for ice packs.
