Coed Obry is a 5.5 acre private woodland on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It has its own private gated access from the road and a 50m track leads from the A 4085 to a small car park for 5 vehicles. Paths lead from there to the caravan, bunkhouse, camping areas. There is a compost toilet block and sink (cold water tap) in the centre of the wood shared by all visitors. The notice board in the car park provides visitors with maps, photos and information about the wood, and there are laminated maps showing the routes of around 30 local walks which visitors are welcome to borrow during their stay. Canoe, kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire in Coed Obry and there are several fire pits with seasoned firewood for sale. There is no mains water so visitors are requested to bring their own drinking water, but rain water harvesting systems provide water for washing. Nearby there are several outstanding beaches within 1-3 miles and there is good access to the mountains of Snowdonia; the Afon Dwyryd provides an excellent sheltered river/estuary for canoeing and paddle boarding; the slate quarries and tourist attractions of Blaenau Ffestiniog, rock climbing at Tremadog (2 miles); spectacular waterfalls at Croesor (1 mile); the Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway (0.5 miles); the Glaslyn Osprey Centre (1 mile); several shops, restaurants, hostelries and Spar shop in Penrhyndeudraeth (1 mile); three large supermarkets and a regional shopping centre in Porthmadog (2.5 miles).

Set in the County Durham countryside on a family-run former dairy farm, the site also features developing woodland and wetlands with loads of amazing wildlife, and mown walkways for you to explore your surroundings. An on-site café, shop and board game library are also all available for your use.
Open all year, the site is close to the market town of Bishop Auckland (10 minutes’ drive), with its wide range of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as the woodland walks and art trails in Hamsterley Forest.

Tŷ Cochyn Caravan and Campsite is a 28 pitch Adult Only touring caravan, campervan and motorhome site set in North West Anglesey with stunning panoramic views across to Ireland - sit and watch the ferries and cruise liners come in and out of Holyhead, with Mynydd Twr (Holyhead Mountain) as the backdrop. Anglesey is well known for its big skies which are ideal for stargazing and who knows, you could see the Aurora Borealis! Pitches are a minimum of 80 sq. m. with Electrical Hook Up and water connection on each pitch. Chemical waste points are available. Main supermarkets are readily accessible in Holyhead. You are also a stone's throw from the Anglesey Coastal Path, which connects you to over 130 miles of the island's coastline. Just how remote would you like your holiday accommodation to be? If the answer is fair to middling, Damside Campsite might just be the place for you: this pop-up spot is surrounded by the glorious wilderness of Peak District National Park. Doesn’t get much more blissfully peaceful than that – except for the occasional lowing cow, all is stillness here.
Having said that, don’t worry: you won’t have to scramble across hills and dales for a pint: a traditional pub serving real ales and home-cooked food is right in the village of Peak Forest, a 20-minute walk away. Both the site and the pub welcome dogs, though it might be wise to keep them on a lead when walking past the farm animals.
This is wild camping; facilities might not be abundant (there are no showers), but they are well maintained and include a portable toilet and a washing-up area. There is also fresh running water, and you’re welcome to start a campfire or a barbecue. You can grab essentials in the village shop, or head to Chapel-en-le-Frith (10 minutes) or Buxton (15 minutes).
If you’re here with the kids, the flat, grassy field where you’ll set up your tent makes for an excellent play area on which to run around, kick a ball or fly a kite. A nearby playground has swings, slides, a small adventure course and a multisport pitch.
Walking paths start from right outside the farm, or you can drive to hiking areas like Chee Dale Stepping Stones (10 minutes), a dramatic gorge on the River Wye.

This is a lovely site with a great toilet block which is clean...would give a hotel a run for their money! The pub down the road is about 25mins walk and they deliver to the site. Lovely walks around the area. A definite site to stop at with a late check out making it a relaxing time from beginning to end! Thanks 😊

I found the campsite easy to find, Margaret is lovely. I camped in the orchard with my tent. I enjoyed my stay and I was made to feel welcome. There is one toilet there near to reception and portable water. I would stay again and recommend it to,
