The Farmers Field
The farms arms is such a lovely spot excellent food and drink and staff were really friendly and helpful. The campsite was peaceful with beautiful views. Access to the toilets in the pub was very handy during our stay. Showers and washing up facilities would be an excellent addition for people intending to stay more than a couple of days but for 2 nights stay the facilities and location were great!

A lovely pub and area of land with a beautiful view and wood stove pizza cooked to order. We arrived with a TentBox and unfortunately cars are not allowed on the field which I wasn’t aware of, but we found a corner of the car park to set up-not quite as we expected but still had a lovely experience. Toilet is left open overnight if needed and staff were lovely.

Overall, it was ok. Having to experience the farmers doing their baling wasn't pleasant. He had to swerve away from our guide ropes. Took some time to clean our tent from clippings, dust etc. Why put us in a 'working' field??
The pub was decent enough.
In the description, it does say that there are now showers etc but a standpipe for water would be the least to expect, rather that having to bother the barstaff in a busy pub.
It does have a wood fired pizza oven next to the pub (big selling point we thought) but it is only in use on a Friday.
Depending on which field you get put in, there is a big walk particularly if you're on the far sideside. It looks like cars would be able to park up and setup but this wasn't communicated in any way.

Very cute place. Basic camping spot but the grounds are cute, there is wifi that has ok coverage and nice pub bathrooms.

Had a great time at the farmers arms this weekend - they left the porch open for the toilet and accomadated us despite the awful weather!

Great spot, very quiet, pub WiFi reached our tent which was handy.
Pub staff very helpful and food was great. We will use this place again.
Only thing is no toilet after the pub closes, it would be great if they had a PortaLoo on site for after pub hours.

Nice little campsite, was quiet the night we were there, only us camping. Communal fire pit area and some covered areas if the weather was nasty. Best bit was the pub on the doorstep serving delicious food. No showers on the site

Fab 3 nights spent here. Pub food fantastic, pizza night 🍕 great range of beer, live music.. could even time it and sign up for pottery! Lovely spot and close to lake Coniston for all your swallows and Amazon adventures!!

Great value for money and a great location for getting to hikes in Coniston. Pub meal & pint on the doorstep was a bonus!
