We absolutely loved our first stay campervanning at The Duchess’s Meadow. The location and views were beautiful, and the directions nice and clear.
In fact, all the detail provided on the "about" page is 100% spot on, especially "you’ll experience the best of both worlds — the calm of the countryside and the charm of a historic spa town, all from the comfort of your motorhome."
It really is the most perfect location, set in the woodlands for countryside walks, and just a short (10 mins) walk into Buxton. With electric and water hookup too as an added bonus, not to mention the tawny owls!
We had the place to ourselves but there is plenty of space available for 2 campervans / MHs at the same time.
Can't wait to return and hopefully stay longer next time! Thank you to Nick & Rachel.

Me and my partner came here for a much needed city break by tent and it was honestly amazing! The shower and toilet are seperate facilities and both clean, there is a kitchen too with a gas stove for cooking! The site is near anywhere you'd like to drive or even walk to around the peak district, and in the actual site itself you can see all the altitude and beauty around you. The air is incredibly fresh, and the owners of the campsite are really sweet and helpful. Will definitely come back for our next trip to the peak district this summer, thank you for having us :)

We loved the look of the space with picnic table dotted about. Lots of water available along side the other facilities. Close to the heathland with lots of walks available. We will be back.

Another wonderful experience at Henbant. Matt and Jenny are fabulous friendly hosts. Henbant is a small working Permaculture farm offering a nearly wild camping Nature based stay. Looking forward to returning 😀

Ease and convenience are the name of the game when camping. Pub is super close, definitely stop by after a hike for a pint and fries. We got to view our hiking spot from our tent. The hot water showers are a dream and the toilets are clean and well stocked. Site was not crowded and campers were quiet. For context, we stayed 29 and 30 August 2025. 10/10 would go back. Take coins for showers!

We loved our private location , fox corner ,only campers in our field , with access to the shallow river , crystal clear water , found some crayfish , the kids throughly enjoyed.
We paid for fire wood , toasted our marshmallows and made smores .
Great location for start gazing on a clear night .
Very calming , relaxing , back to basics site but that's all you need for a great reset .

7 nights at Henbant Permaculture Farm + Camp
I’ve been putting off leaving this review … mainly because I don’t want anyone else to find out about this fabulous place… but then that would go against the whole ethos of Henbant. Within 10 minutes of arriving our 4 year old was dancing around saying “mummy, mummy this place is all about being freeee” and with no cars on the site we felt comfortable letting her explore and make new friends. We loved the choice of pitches , many of them hidden in the gorse, very private and with beautiful views. The honesty shop was amazingly well stocked - highly recommend the henbant steaks for a real treat. Matt , Jenny and their kids were so welcoming and our daughter loved playing in the garden and meeting the chickens and guinea pigs. When our ancient tent finally gave up on our 3rd night Matt was so helpful about helping us dispose of it and the cherry on the cake was the fabulous sauna which we mainly seemed to have to ourselves each day ! The facilities are not luxury all singing all dancing shower blocks but we never once had to queue and they were always spotlessly clean and the lack of light pollution meant the stars were incredible… we loved it so much we stayed an extra night despite torrential rain , and we’ve already booked to return in October half term. Magical .
