Tons of space all to yourself making it feel like wild camping. Even your own swimming spot on the river. Other campers are in their own field away and you cannot hear each other. Alex is so nice and friendly as well. We had the best romantic, anniversary weekend away :)

1 night at Riverside Farm experience camp fire

This place is pure magic, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The location is stunning, based in a valley with views of meadows and grand trees as far as the eye can see. You would think you were deep in the countryside. The stream was crystal clear and crisp, we floated down on the kindly provided paddle boards which the kids loved. Not to mention the very friendly animals who wander freely around the site, it was beautiful seeing animals free in their natural environment. The piglets were extremely friendly and my daughter had so much fun playing with them. There is so much to do, in the woodland area my daughter had fun playing in the sandpit, swinging in the hammocks and zooming along the zip wire. We had a gorgeous fire in the pit provided, grilled our fish and enjoyed the starry night. In the morning we collected eggs from the lovely chickens - the freshest eggs I’ve ever had! And to top it all off, Morag is the loveliest person, such a genuine down to earth soul. We will definitely be back!

Lovely site on the river right next a very pleasant pub - what more could you ask for. This was my second stay and the site was more or less at capacity this time, but despite that I was still comfortable. There were a few groups up late but no one was being obnoxiously loud. Only complaint is that the showers are way too hot!! 'Warning Hot Water' stickers seem like an admission of guilt. Otherwise can't fault the place, looking forward to staying again another time.

2 nights at Secluded Woodland Camp

Jon was a great host, really friendly and always happy to help. The views from the meadow fields are great and I had the whole place to myself for the first night and was just amazing, felt completely recharged and rested sitting in the fields watching the butterflies. Only downside is it’s a bit of a walk from the car and up bit of a hill. Not enough to put me off recommending it though. Just pack light and bring a friend to help pull the trolley. Can’t wait to come back again. 5* thanks again Jon :)

2 nights at White Peak Camping

The campsite was amazing, so calm and relaxing whilst being close to loads of good walking routes. The views were amazing and all the people staying on the site were very friendly, it’s a lovely place to stay.

It was a nice campsite with clean facilities. There were a few people around when I went but it never felt cramped. Everyone was setup along the borders and it was easy to access your pitch. I would definitely stay here again.

Third visit to the Hollies; camped Sun- Weds to avoid weekend crowds- very enjoyable experience , the owner and his family are friendly , and visit to check if you want firewood/ fire pit , and keep the 6 toilets and 4 showers (£1 - 5mins hot water) spotless- very well managed- looking forward to next visit.

A real chilled out peaceful place, nice views from the tent and if like me your going for a hike just walk out the gate and choose a direction, quite a few places to walk to from here so no need to use the car, toilets were always clean when I used them as was the pot washing area, first time I have camped for years but planning to do it more now after this experience and will go back here at some point, would I recommend well that's a definite yes from me.

Matt and Lauren were really friendly and helpful, provided some good information about local walking routes. Facilities were nice and clean, views of the valley and hills were beautiful. Only recommendations would make is a play area for kids, there were a few feral ones running around, but old be good if they had a lil safe area to play, away from the tents and campervans!

Nice quiet site. Toilets are in a good condition, clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Idilic views and decent walks close by. Would highly recommend and intend to go back soon

Booked this campsite after reading the reviews. We had a really lovely time here, plenty of space and it was great seeing all the cows. Fire pits were free to use and fire wood and kindling reasonably priced. Felt very relaxing!

Great location with stunning views. Toilets were clean, no issues with noise, plenty of tables for people to use. Immediate access to great walks, would definitely recommend.
