What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. And if even that’s too much, you’d be welcome to spend some time loafing about on site: there’s heaps of space here, and as facilities have been kept quite minimal (just showers and toilets) there should be a good serving of peace and quiet to go with it all. Guests are welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire for cookouts and keeping warm; Tideswell’s the place for supermarket supplies, and it’s also handily got a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs for days when your firelighting skills aren't up to much.

When you stay at Hunstanton Camping and Glamping with mYminiBreak you are conveniently located to explore the beach and its surrounding areas. Between the venue and the beach, you will find the entrance to a public footpath that takes you to Snettisham, a smaller and history-rich village through scenic rural countryside. It is also possible to walk to Hunstanton in the opposite direction along the promenade whilst enjoying the sea air and open views. Our campsite is one of only a handful of campsites located on the west coast of Norfolk and just a 2-minute walk from the beach gives us a prime location for watching the sunset go down in all its spectacular deep orange and red glory. Couple this with having some drinks with friends and family by your campfire or BBQ makes for a wonderful memory to share with your loved ones. We are campfire and dog friendly, and welcome your four-legged friends to stay with you across our camping and glamping accommodation Local shops only 5 minutes down the road takes a load off your mind knowing that if you forget any supplies you don't have to go without, making your experience while camping in Hunstanton a relaxed and fun time. We are a rural former dairy farm by the beach, there are free-ranging chickens and cockerels and they may make farmyard sounds, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs :) GLAMPERS PLEASE NOTE The Glamping Kitchenette is suitable for making small quick meals with the use of a microwave, oven & stove for cooking and grilling and a toaster and kettle, there is also a fridge provided. Showers and toilets are shared with the campsite with the exception of gas powered outside showers that are solely for glampers. We are a VERY dog-friendly venue, we welcome dogs and muddy boots and host many hikers and explorers of the Norfolk Coast, although every care has been taken to ensure very clean accommodation, it is possible that a dog hair or 2 escapes our conscientious eye, please bear this in mind and let us know should you find anything you are not happy with, we will get our housekeeping team to deal with the issue swiftly! Please note that the Glamping Bell Tents and Glamping Shepherds Huts are for 2 adults only with the exception of 1 Adult and 1 Child with prior consent from us, they are not suitable for under 2's and do not come with facilities for children or babies. we loved camping here, the place is quiet and there is everything you need. Toilets were clean, there is a small shop where you can buy snacks. You can charge your phone for a small fee, and Linda is very helpful is sharing information and suggestions on things to do in the area. We had a great time and the children loved playing football in the field and building a den in the forest.

Absolutely gorgeous location! Right next to Chrome hill, also know as Dragons back and a short drive to other greats hikes in the peaks such as Mam Tor. It’s a small site which only has 5 pitches for campers/ motorhomes or roof tents. Small but plenty of spec either side of your pitch and at the back so you have space for an awning/ gazebo set up. There is also a lovely little enclosed area with a picnic bench for everyone to use. Only one toilet but plenty for the fact there are only 5 pitches, it was lovely and clean with a hot water shower. There was also a little washing up area outside to clean your dishes and a tap for filling drinking water! Much more than I expected from such a small site. 100% we will be back as it’s a perfect location for hikes and a gorgeous stay! The hosts were also super friendly and helpful before and during our stay! Thank you again ☺️✨ Oh and it’s dog friendly, what more could you want.

Lovely vibe, was able to turn up and just pick a spot without any registration which made things a lot easier. The site had a mix of families, teenagers, young adults etc. which was quite refreshing. They say noise down by 10 but was nice that you didn’t have to actually be silent. Louise was really nice and helped with a fire pit,.

What a beautiful campsite! Absolutely loved the meadow vibe and views across to the Cathedral. The site staff are friendly and welcoming. Loved the on site shop and pizza oven. The washing facilities are excellent. From a practical perspective, the pitch was flat and plentiful. Great to have a place to have a fire. It’s the fens so it’s flat and exposed so clever pitching to avoid winds are recommended. Can’t wait to come back.

Well-maintained and peaceful wild camping site in the Peak District Buxton 15 minutes’ drive; Chatsworth House half an hour Dogs welcome; 10 minutes’ walk from a pub; nearby playground Just how remote would you like your holiday accommodation to be? If the answer is fair to middling, Damside Campsite might just be the place for you: this pop-up spot is surrounded by the glorious wilderness of Peak District National Park. Doesn’t get much more blissfully peaceful than that – except for the occasional lowing cow, all is stillness here. Having said that, don’t worry: you won’t have to scramble across hills and dales for a pint: a traditional pub serving real ales and home-cooked food is right in the village of Peak Forest, a 20-minute walk away. Both the site and the pub welcome dogs, though it might be wise to keep them on a lead when walking past the farm animals. This is wild camping; facilities might not be abundant (there are no showers), but they are well maintained and include a portable toilet and a washing-up area. There is also fresh running water, and you’re welcome to start a campfire or a barbecue. You can grab essentials in the village shop, or head to Chapel-en-le-Frith (10 minutes) or Buxton (15 minutes).
