A really lovely relaxed campsite, set on a farm in the beautiful Peak District. A family friendly place and plenty of space for children to play. Toilets are clean and the washing station is also great. The campsite also a short drive to the Monsal Trail.

Beautiful setting. If you want to get back to nature this is the place for you! We were a large family group celebrating three birthdays and it’s perfect to pitch up for campers and campervanners. The toliets are great and the shower was hot. My only feedback is to sort out the temperature of both showers so they run at a decent temp. One was cold and the other was too hot. And more bins on site so you can recycle more easily - food / non food. You’re encouraged to recycle at home as it’s a greenfield site. We’ll be back for sure!

We had a great weekend on the campsite, beautiful setting, lots of space to pitch your tent and have a camp fire. Great pub just down the road, only negative was the toilet/ shower block was sometimes quite busy but other than that I’d highly recommend and will be returning again in a few weeks!

Weekend Trip to Daisy May’s Farm

My family had a great time camping at daisy May's farm, this was our first visit and our first time camping. We loved that we could pitch up where we wanted and the fact there was proper toilets and a shower. the staff were all so lovely, they really engaged with the children particularly the young girl with the horses who kept them occupied for hours and hours. I saw another young man help a family setting up their tent he seemed to have such a great attitude and all staff answered any questions we had about animals or activities. My family all loved spending time with the animals the play area was also a big hit. I can not recommend this place enough and we will be returning in the summer holidays!

Hi went to the camp last weekend and was lovely the pitches are humongous and they have a firepit,nice clean toilets and showers. Secure field good for the kids and lock access to the river.Good access to the river for paddleboard and Kayaks.Close distance to the main supermarket's about 5 min drive.Very quiet and Andy the field boss very friendly. Highly recommended.Kayaks and Canoes hire on the site also fishing aloud during the open season.We are definitely visit the camp again.

The lady who ran the site was approachable, visited the site twice a day and checked in on us after some epic weather the night before. She even offered us some logs. Facilities were fine- enough flushing loos for the number of people, and a shower to boot. Cleaned daily.

If the answer is fair to middling, Damside Campsite might just be the place for you: this pop-up spot is surrounded by the glorious wilderness of Peak District National Park. Doesn’t get much more blissfully peaceful than that – except for the occasional lowing cow, all is stillness here. Having said that, don’t worry: you won’t have to scramble across hills and dales for a pint: a traditional pub serving real ales and home-cooked food is right in the village of Peak Forest, a 20-minute walk away. Both the site and the pub welcome dogs, though it might be wise to keep them on a lead when walking past the farm animals. This is wild camping; facilities might not be abundant (there are no showers), but they are well maintained and include a portable toilet and a washing-up area. There is also fresh running water, and you’re welcome to start a campfire or a barbecue. You can grab essentials in the village shop, or head to Chapel-en-le-Frith (10 minutes) or Buxton (15 minutes). If you’re here with the kids, the flat, grassy field where you’ll set up your tent makes for an excellent play area on which to run around, kick a ball or fly a kite. A nearby playground has swings, slides, a small adventure course and a multisport pitch. Walking paths start from right outside the farm, or you can drive to hiking areas like Chee Dale Stepping Stones (10 minutes), a dramatic gorge on the River Wye.

Amazing location to access Oxford city and easy access to M40 (Junction 9). Good things await for those who grab a berth at Weston Caravan and Campsite, in the Oxfordshire village of Weston-on-the-Green. For starters, space seekers should be pleased to see that there’s plenty of breathing room around this former dairy farm – excellent news for kids or dogs that need a bit of haring-about time after being cooped up in the car. Depending on where you’ve plonked down you may find that your nearest neighbours are the resident beef cattle, sheep or horses; it’s worth keeping your eyes open for sightings of the hedgehogs that often scuttle about the place too. Perhaps most crucially for those whose stomachs dictate a site’s success is the presence of a café that serves up a tempting range of freshly cooked goodies: breakfasts (no rush – they’re served all day), salads, cakes and coffees, plus cheeses, pies and the like to take away. Evening appetites can be sated with a barbecue out on the field, or trotting off to the local pub five minutes’ walk away. The site added a new toilet and shower block in 2018. And how to get to this little slice of rural loveliness? The village is just a few minutes’ drive from the A34 and Junction 9 of the M40, making it both a useful stopover on cross-country voyages and a handy spot for Oxfordshire breaks (perhaps taking in Oxford, Blenheim Palace or bagging bargains in Bicester).
