Weekend Trip to Blossom in the Beans

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time here. The excellent scenery paired with the amazing hospitality really made our weekend special. The accommodation was outstanding and perfectly equipped for any trip, big or small. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and help in any capacity they could. Would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a get away or any group looking for a place to relax in the quiet countryside.

We had a fantastic stay at Broadleaves. Kerry and Rupert have thought of every small detail to make the stay so comfortable. They were there to greet us and made us feel so welcome. We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 with a dog and will definitely be returning. The facilities are great quality and the location is stunning. I have already been recommending them to family and friends.

Weekend Trip to Blooms Westerby Farm

We stayed one night at Waterbury Farm and it was pure bliss. The camping shed was cozy and clean, with the kettle in a separate shed—making the sleeping space feel roomy. The highlight was the hot tub, perfectly placed for stunning sunset views. Soaking under the stars in total peace was unforgettable. A calm, beautiful escape with thoughtful touches and lovely hosts. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Laura's glampsite even though the weather was wet and windy. The hot tub was a treat as was the 'cinema under the stars'! Laura was very friendly and helpful which made our stay comfortable. Nice quiet site, good facilities and thoroughly enjoyed by me and my two children! Thank you!!

I booked a fishing retreat for my husbands birthday , it was perfect, Fenton hut was gorgeous and the pitch ,privacy and space we had was perfect . The hosts were just lovely, they literally couldn’t do enough for us including a fabulous dinner recommendation at JB Kitchen. Truly wonderful stay .. would highly recommend

Weekend Trip to Blooms Westerby Farm

Hosts were lovely and used great communication throughout. We stay I'm the bumble hut, which was lovely, clean and cosy. The bed was so comfy but the teddy bear bedding was too hot but my goodness it was so snuggly. Hot tub was lovely as was the evening and morning delivery of tea and breakfast. I recommend this place to anyone, so many different types of accommodation. We will definitely return.

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

To all the savvy readers out there, do yourselves a favor and reserve a spot at this gem of a place. Graham & Allison are the ultimate hosts, and I can't stress enough how delightful our stay was. We're definitely planning a return trip and can't wait to reunite with Allison. The hot tub was a dream, I even managed to reel in some decent-sized fish! The lodge was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Top-notch comfort all around.

What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. And if even that’s too much, you’d be welcome to spend some time loafing about on site: there’s heaps of space here, and as facilities have been kept quite minimal (just showers and toilets) there should be a good serving of peace and quiet to go with it all. Guests are welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire for cookouts and keeping warm; Tideswell’s the place for supermarket supplies, and it’s also handily got a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs for days when your firelighting skills aren't up to much.

Simple site in the grounds of a 19th-century coaching inn Lincolnshire Wolds walks and Skegness within half an hour's drive Pub with food; a 10-minute walk from the Aviation Heritage Centre Hikes, wildlife and generous helpings of history are all dished up at The Red Lion, a simple site in the grounds of an old Lincolnshire inn. At a crossroads in the village of East Kirkby, The Red Lion has been refreshing travellers since 1841; more recently, it was a favoured watering hole for the men and women of Bomber Command in World War II, and the pub’s décor pays tribute to them. The staff are steeped in the history of the old coaching inn and the nearby airfield, and can point you towards the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, 10 minutes’ walk down the road and on the site of the former Royal Air Force base. The Red Lion makes a splendid base for aviation and wartime history buffs, with the heritage centre nearby and the displays and memorials of the International Bomber Command Centre a 45-minute drive away. As it’s on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and around half an hour's drive from the coast, it’s also well placed for walks, stately home visits and wildlife watching. Most importantly, it’s at the back of a friendly pub (which has varied winter and summer opening days and hours, but is always closed on Mondays). It serves hot food alongside local beers and other refreshing tipples. Canine companions are welcome in the bar (it’d be nice if they bought a drink…) and on the site. Electric vehicle charging is onsite in the public house car park this is chargeable through an app and full instructions are given for once you have booked and paid for your charging slot,

Our beautiful Log Cabin (KINGFISHER) was completed in May 2017 and the static homes style lodges, (LAVENDER AND SUNFLOWER) in April 2021. Kingfisher is a more rustic vibe with log burner and oil filled radiators for heating and Lavender and Sunflower are more modern vibe with gas central heating. Lavender and Sunflower both have ramp access. They all have their own personal jetty and veranda to fish from. You can also fish anywhere around the lake as we do not allow day tickets. Kingfisher has 3 bedrooms, so sleeps 3 singles or 3 couples. The other two have 2 bedrooms, so sleeps just 2 singles or 2 couples. It is such a peaceful haven. All your troubles just disappear when you arrive. The calming beauty of the lake is inspiring. We want this to become our very own nature reserve, encouraging nesting of all kinds to mature to full potential. We want you to share on our journey and progress along the way. We don’t look on this as a business, but a ‘home from home’. It is our secretive safe haven, nestled nicely in-between Boston and Skegness in a peaceful surrounding – there is no traffic apart from the occasional Spitfire or Lancaster flying by! Also, depending on what time of year, the occasional combine harvester or tractor working the surrounding fields. This dog-friendly site has a splendid rural setting in Hatfield Woodhouse, and activities around here are along the lines of gorgeous walks and birdwatching in nature reserves or kayaking, paddleboarding and open-water swimming at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre 35 minutes’ walk away. If that doesn’t sound just splendid already, the centre of the local village is only around half an hour’s walk away. That means that pubs and takeaways are never too far off. Of course, another, rather attractive option is to rustle together your own barbecue (which are handily permitted on site). There are shops in the village for sourcing cuts of meat, buns and other essential ingredients. For those of you who adore a day spent with your fishing rod and family or friends, the village also has several fishing lakes, all within walking distance of the site. The lakes at Hatfield Moors Nature Reserve are just a little further out (just five minutes’ drive, to be exact) and a scenic place for spying on birdlife, including nightjars.
