Fancy some secluded downtime exploring rural coastal Suffolk? The tree-shaded pitches at Hill Farm are in a peaceful setting near the market towns of Saxmundham and Halesworth, and handily accessible from the A12, as well as to the coast and pretty villages, historical hamlets, and popular seaside towns, such as Southwold and Aldeburgh. This is a site that welcomes families and groups of friends, and it's dog-friendly too (there’s a 4-acre woodland to the north of the site that's great for dog walking). The site has good TV reception for relaxing indoors on damp or chilly days. The popular village of Westleton (10 minutes’ drive) has a village store, a farm shop, a garage and 2 pubs; and if you fancy a change from cooking, there is also a nice pub and a tearoom, in the Darsham village area (only 5 minutes drive or a 30 minute walk away through some lovely fields). Back on site, there are a toilet cabins with hot running water, plus other facilities including 4 showers, a portaloo, and a washing machine, grey waste and chemical toilet disposal and recycling points. Wi-fi is nearly all over the site too. The shared facilities at the top of the site also has a fridge and a washing up area, with a warm water tap, a nearby kettle and a plug socket for charging mobiles. Picnic tables, PIR lighting and Starlink wifi is also provided. Please not that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and yes campfires are allowed, as long as the fire pit is raised off the ground and the fire is supervised at all times, with a bucket of water at hand too. Excellent site with plenty of space, facilities are also excellent and clean. Its a great place to stay and use as a base if visiting Norfolk, within easy reach of superstores and A47. However, the White House Farm Village shops were not open on Sunday and Monday on a Bank Holiday weekend, this didnt affect our stay but was a bit of a disappointment. Overall a good site and would definitely use again.

A lovely, quiet, basic site. Has all the necessities like flushing toilets and hot showers, but not much else. Fire pits with cooking grills free to use, seasoned firewood available to purchase. 2 minute walk to farm shop for fresh meat and veg, or supermarket 5 mins drive up the road. Plenty of space to set up, no restrictions on pitches, just a general expectation of being courteous to other campers. Grass cut to a good level, ground mostly flat. Would definitely return. Great value site.

Weekend Trip to Plum Camping at White House Farm

Sadly the weather was shocking for our trip and there were only another couple of campers so after battling with our set-up in high winds after enjoying a fabulous coffee and cake in the farm shop cafe in arrival (beautiful shop and cafe) - we finally were about to have a brew outdoors and take in the lovely orchards that became our view. Sadly the winds kept getting stronger and as the sun was going down we made the decision not to stay as the winds were only going to get stronger. Also lack of other campers and morale to keep us going we left and headed home. Nice facilities, toilets were clean and washing/cleaning set up looks good and loved the area that held the fridge and charging points. Just a shame the UK weather let us down - for our very first camping trip.

A nice private walk into southwold that was about 20 minutes to the pier. would recommend. What a unique and beautiful place to have stumbled across as a last minute change of travel plans. I almost forgot I was in Norfolk, this spot is incredibly well maintained, peaceful, a dream to wake up by the water and watch the swans and heron and has all the amenities you could need for a camping trip or similar. Great location, everywhere is accessible and yet you don’t feel trapped in the hustle and bustle of the coast. And getting a HOT shower right in nature topped it off, just what I needed.

The facilities were clean and tidy with great outdoor showers. We had a fabulous night here. Lovely, quiet field with plenty of space. The toilets and showers were very clean. No light pollution at all-great for star gazing. There were fire pits to hire and wood if we needed it. Lovely dog walks from the camp and a good local pub nearby. Peter and his wife were super friendly and incredibly helpful. We will definitely be back!
