Weekend Trip to Hunstanton Camping & Glamping

Close to beach. Next to the Norfolk Coastal walk. Nigel met us on arrival. Introduced to the dogs and chickens (and spotted a fluffy cat). We loved the relaxed air of the camp field but everything looks like it’s in a state of building or maintenance! Which, to be fair Nigel said they were renovating the barn to accommodate more indoor campers. We had ‘camper van with awning’ as we brought our own bell tent, there were more of this type, one shepherds hut in the same field and at least three other shepherds huts secluded behind the barn. There is the potential for four washing up sinks - only one had water working. Toilet block with three male, three female loos and hand washing. Two showers - also in this block. Side of the barn was also showers and single toilets with two stand alone basins outside. Water points everywhere. We used electric hook up which was good and consistent. WiFi was also working where we were, only used it for the radio though. Some hard standing was a bit dubious with the hard core having glass and pottery mixed in. We brought bicycles and really had to watch where we pushed them. Overall, loved the rustic camp ground, would hope the hard standing would be sorted out soon. Would recommend.

1 night at Elham Treehouse

Went for a weekend with my partner and it was really fantastic. you really feel isolated while town is just a short (ish) walk away with a great restaurant. the property is superbly well kept and Mark is a great host, always looking out for us. The treehouse itself is very cosy for two and stocked with board games, books, and binoculars which was a detail we loved. There is also a amazing loaf of bread which we were sent in the morning. when I say amazing loaf of bread, I mean a big block that smells like a bakery all on its own both my partner and I were singing its praises for hours on the train home. highly reccomend.

We absolutely loved our trip! Wonderful scenery and mark is a brilliant host. The cabin itself was beautiful and cozy, not a bad word to say about anything. If you’re considering it as an option I’d thoroughly recommend you go for it :)

I am happy to report having a wonderful experience despite being caught in a storm. Initially I had considered cancelling my booking in the face of weather warnings yet I was so pleased to have persisted. The yurt, hot tub and other amenities were beautifully prepared and felt safe and secure. While the location was just what I was seeking. The experience was to provide an occasion for my partners birthday and this was well received. My thanks to Amelia for thoughtfully creating a lovely, charming and relaxing space to be enjoyed.

Between the venue and the beach, you will find the entrance to a public footpath that takes you to Snettisham, a smaller and history-rich village through scenic rural countryside. It is also possible to walk to Hunstanton in the opposite direction along the promenade whilst enjoying the sea air and open views. Our campsite is one of only a handful of campsites located on the west coast of Norfolk and just a 2-minute walk from the beach gives us a prime location for watching the sunset go down in all its spectacular deep orange and red glory. Couple this with having some drinks with friends and family by your campfire or BBQ makes for a wonderful memory to share with your loved ones. We are campfire and dog friendly, and welcome your four-legged friends to stay with you across our camping and glamping accommodation Local shops only 5 minutes down the road takes a load off your mind knowing that if you forget any supplies you don't have to go without, making your experience while camping in Hunstanton a relaxed and fun time. We are a rural former dairy farm by the beach, there are free-ranging chickens and cockerels and they may make farmyard sounds, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs :) GLAMPERS PLEASE NOTE The Glamping Kitchenette is suitable for making small quick meals with the use of a microwave, oven & stove for cooking and grilling and a toaster and kettle, there is also a fridge provided. Showers and toilets are shared with the campsite with the exception of gas powered outside showers that are solely for glampers. We are a VERY dog-friendly venue, we welcome dogs and muddy boots and host many hikers and explorers of the Norfolk Coast, although every care has been taken to ensure very clean accommodation, it is possible that a dog hair or 2 escapes our conscientious eye, please bear this in mind and let us know should you find anything you are not happy with, we will get our housekeeping team to deal with the issue swiftly! Please note that the Glamping Bell Tents and Glamping Shepherds Huts are for 2 adults only with the exception of 1 Adult and 1 Child with prior consent from us, they are not suitable for under 2's and do not come with facilities for children or babies. The Little Stable is situated in a meadow, which is part of a 63 acre arable field adjacent to Laundimer Woods and Fermyn Woods. The land has been farmed by my father and grandfather for the last 60 years going back to a time of horse drawn ploughs and open top tractors. The stable was built 25 years ago for a horse called Whisper and over the years it was left to deteriorate. I have been gradually restoring the building since 2019 and decided it would be ideal as a luxury tiny home. I have put my heart and soul into build a unique, comfortable and private space for people seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. On the doorstep are some fantastic walks and rides through the woods. They were one of the original re-release sites for Red Kites in the UK and the breeding programme has been incredibly successful. It's a hidden gem, off the beaten track and a great place to reconnect with nature and the countryside. We can give you a map of the many trails through the woodland and other places of interest. We would advise bringing a pair of wellies or sturdy walking boots. A short car journey away you will find Deene House & Park (3 miles), Kirby Hall (4 miles), Rockingham Castle (4 miles), Boughton House (5 miles), Lyveden New Bield (6 miles) and the pretty and historic market town of Oundle (7 miles), A little further afield there is the beautiful town of Stamford and magnificent Burghley House (19 miles).
