Fancy some secluded downtime exploring rural coastal Suffolk? The tree-shaded pitches at Hill Farm are in a peaceful setting near the market towns of Saxmundham and Halesworth, and handily accessible from the A12, as well as to the coast and pretty villages, historical hamlets, and popular seaside towns, such as Southwold and Aldeburgh.
This is a site that welcomes families and groups of friends, and it's dog-friendly too (there’s a 4-acre woodland to the north of the site that's great for dog walking). The site has good TV reception for relaxing indoors on damp or chilly days.
The popular village of Westleton (10 minutes’ drive) has a village store, a farm shop, a garage and 2 pubs; and if you fancy a change from cooking, there is also a nice pub and a tearoom, in the Darsham village area (only 5 minutes drive or a 30 minute walk away through some lovely fields).
Back on site, there are a toilet cabins with hot running water, plus other facilities including 4 showers, a portaloo, and a washing machine, grey waste and chemical toilet disposal and recycling points. Wi-fi is nearly all over the site too.
The shared facilities at the top of the site also has a fridge and a washing up area, with a warm water tap, a nearby kettle and a plug socket for charging mobiles. Picnic tables, PIR lighting and Starlink wifi is also provided.
Please not that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and yes campfires are allowed, as long as the fire pit is raised off the ground and the fire is supervised at all times, with a bucket of water at hand too. Thank you for booking!

As barbecues are permitted here, there’s always the option of preparing the grill for some alfresco dining. We had a fantastic time camping on Jaik’s land! He was so accommodating, friendly and helpful, and made us feel really welcome.
It’s a quirky and unique little campsite, which we absolutely loved. It was also brilliant for the children — really child-friendly, and safe with plenty for them to explore and enjoy, and we felt completely comfortable having them there.
We had such a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, family-friendly camping experience. We’ll absolutely be back! ⛺️🌿😊

Lovely little campsite, clean facilities and friendly hens! Small honesty shop, fridge and freezer available. Nice friendly pub within ten minutes walk. Great for a peaceful break. The only negative was no hand drier or paper towels available in the wash shed and could do with slightly better lighting in the toilets.

Weekend Trip to Goldcrest - Breakaway Camping
We stayed in Robins Nest. An 8 birth statistic caravan. The beds were all made up and lovely and clean. Lots of cushions in the lounge area to make yourself nice and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything. Even took the cover off the sun umbrella for us.
There was a lovely family on the Medows in a tent who either waved or spoke while passing. This is our third time this year staying in the caravan. It’s peaceful, no tv programs but dvds are available to watch, along with bird songs and other animals to listen to. We hope to have a couple more weekends before it’s too cold to sit outside. We didn’t need the gas heating but needed and used the fan last time we went.

An absolute hidden gem for switching off. The pitches are well-spaced and tucked away in nature, offering a truly tranquil vibe. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate, hot water was always available, and the owners were super welcoming. If you want a peaceful retreat away from the noise, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!"
On the day of leaving we had a flat battery, Brian kindly offered a jump start.

Simple and unpretentious site in a rural setting. The shower & toilet facilities are not the most up to date but they are clean and fully functional.
Most pitches have water & mains hook up with hoses & cables available to use.
A small wooded area is suitable for dog walking or for children to explore.
There is a little bit of background traffic noise from the A12 but it is not intrusive.
If you want mamucured lawns, a swimming pool & clubhouse this is not the site for you but we loved its quiet simplicity. Good value for money.

My son and I loved camping at Fire & Feast, Cratfield. The site was very tidy. The showers and toilets were lovely and clean. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Especially the breakfast brunch. We felt thoroughly spoilt ! Great, Safe bbq grills to cook on. We definitely recommend staying there. Stunning place, a Really a lovely find. Myself and my children had a wonderful time here and didn’t want to leave. Toilets and shower facilities were clean, the “beach” and stream was lovely and kept my little ones happy all day.
Lots of open space, we could choose where we pitched our tent. Animals were great to have around, kids loved how cheeky they were with the food! Daughter loved feeding the horses.
We borrowed fire pit too and were able to get wood from the forrest which was.
It was a really lovely wholesome, relaxed weekend. Will be returning!
