This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant. Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge. Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Within 40 acres of Cornish ancient woodland, TEC offers a unique escape: three Safari tree tents, each accommodating up to three people, are suspended discreetly between trees and provide intimate yet communal spaces, letting you enjoy nature’s symphony as you sleep amidst the treetops. Elevate your camping experience with TEC, where each night is an opportunity to sleep between the trees and create memories that swing far beyond the ordinary. In addition to the tree tents, our TEC ensures your wilderness adventure doesn’t compromise on comfort. We provide a communal area weather-proofed using a large parachute under which we provide a Quirky wood burner made from repurposed wheel hubs to keep you toasty and seating crafted from locally sourced Oak timber. There is also a simple BBQ grill. Further shelter is provided by our large tarp-covered A-frame, furnished with a bench and further seating lovingly built by your hosts, offering perfect spots to share stories and revel in the magic of the forest. Essential amenities include a sustainable composting toilet with rain-fed handwashing facilities, including eco-friendly handwash, a supply of drinking water, first aid kit, firelighters, heat glove and fire extinguisher, BBQ implements and a store of seasoned firewood. Rather than renting out the three tree tents separately as pitches, we only allow for exclusive bookings. Thus, it will only be you and your friends, family or colleagues who will be having a tree tent experience. You will have exclusive-use of the fire area underneath the parachute, the A-frame shelter and the composting toilet. You can also explore the 40-acres of the ancient Cornish woodland that is Caradon Wood, some of which is rare Atlantic or Temperate rainforest. A 15-minute walk down the slope brings you to the River Lyhner and there are nice little wild swimming spots on the bends of this river with its source close-by on Bodmin Moor. Once you book you will be sent directions to Caradon Wood along with a full kit list: what we provide and what you need to bring along. You will be met at our Base Camp parking area by one of your hosts, either Phil or Aydin. They will show you to your tree tent/s and provide you with an overview of the facilities and the woods. The cost per tree tent is £75/night for up to three people. Gorgeous site in north Cornwall. We (family of four with a six-man tent) stayed for a week in Gosel’s in August, we booked because we loved the secluded nature of the pitch, hidden in the trees and the possibility of wild swimming and canoeing in the quarry- both were just as amazing as expected. We went down to the quarry first thing every morning and normally had it to ourselves - saw a barn owl from the canoe one morning which was exciting for all of us. Wished we’d brought our fishing stuff as other kids were catching rainbow trout regularly! Having a stand pipe and a picnic table on the pitch was a luxury- the site had a sensible approach to camp fires (and actually to all things H&S which we really appreciated). Compost loo and hot shower was a minute walk away with flushing loos available a bit further on- these facilities were absolutely fine, well maintained and exactly as advertised. You can drive to pitch to unload and then park in the carpark which is our preference. The on-site cafe- bar had a variety of drinks, pizza, salad and breakfast options and we treated ourselves a couple of times. All staff were lovely, chill and other guests largely great too. Brilliant spot for kids and teens but there were a wide range of different types of guest which is our preference. Would 100% recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at Goren farm. We had a whole field to ourselves which was very peaceful and the kids could run wild. The cafe serves delicious cream teas, and juice and cider made on the farm. We even were lucky enough to see the apple press in action! Julian was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I picked a special plot, tucked in the corner of a field with far reaching view across the valley! So pleased to have spent anothet night under canvas in this gorgeous part of the Blackdown Hills. Julian is very approachable, making me a lovely cafetiere of coffee in the morning. The plumbed in Shower and WC's are tucked into the corner of the barn, very tidy in a rustic way, and much appreciated. I hope to return again in a couple of weeks .... Thank You Goren Farm!

Such a peaceful and beautiful campsite! Pitching up right among the wildflowers in the Blackdown Hills was absolute bliss. The site strikes the perfect balance between wild camping and thoughtful facilities, great warm showers in the converted horsebox, clean compost toilets, and private pitches well spaced apart. The cafe on-site is fantastic, too, make sure to grab a fresh cream tea before you leave! Highly recommended for families or anyone looking to properly switch off. Will definitely be back.

The fields are huge and the views are great. Atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Families seemed as happy as couples and single travellers. Lovely clean shower, toilet and washing up facilities - made with love! Just be prepared for strong winds and a field that is mostly not level. I very much enjoyed my stay!
