farm riverside camping in an idyllic 60 acre grade 1 listed country estate conservation farm and pleasure grounds in central Hertford. Large free camping meadow includes fire pits next to the river and ancient woodlands. Stunning valley views. Paddle swim boat fish in our crystal clear chalk streams , explore our woodland areas , with hammocks swings and huge 1960s army parachute shelter.

On foot, explore the North Norfolk coastal path,it is a long distance national trail stretching from Hunstanton in the west all the way to Cromer in the east, views include Blakeney point, spit,marshes, mudflats ,and water channels where birds and seals are often seen .we have a great bus service along the coastal road so you can walk as far and as wide as you wish.We also have great amenities on your door step, such as great pubs a walk away try The Anchor at morston ,or walk the other way on the coastal path to blakeney where you can find great streetfood, a supermarket ,willie west fish shop with prawn sandwiches to die for .i also recommend you walk to cley which is a charming village it has a cool pub called The George and a lovely bistro called the harnser , i would definitely recommend The Smoke House ,Made In Clay ,The Secondhand Book Shop , and last but not least the famous Picnic farye full of great local vegetables and artisan foods.
You are beautifully placed at agar farm to park the car set up camp and not need your car for the rest of your stay,everything is on your door step

Lovely weekend at Chalk Farm, we had a medium and small tent together on a large pitch.
The camping is in a large field, with pitches organised in a row at the top of the field. You are close to your neighbours but have a lovely view across the hills.
Nice clean toilets and showers (water temp a bit temperamental) good washing up facilities. Cars are not on site so feels really safe.

The Agar farm is great place to camp as its looking out towards the meadows and the beautiful sea view. This was our first time camping and we felt the team was very welcoming, flexible and toilet/showers were kept meticulously clean. We found that being further from the road is better as we could hear the cars passing by when sleeping in our tent but that is more personal and not a drawdown whatsoever. The lower meadow is the best and the team I’m sure will do more for the site as they grow the business.

Loved this campsite - calm, spacious, and simple but nicely equipped. If you're after a peaceful slice of nature without all the trimmings, Peter has you sorted (and is a great host!) Also nice to have access to eggs, fresh fruit and from freezer on the farmhouse opposite which we hadn't seen mentioned anywhere before we came. We've already recommended it to friends and will no doubt be back ourselves :)

My son and I loved camping at Fire & Feast, Cratfield. The site was very tidy. The showers and toilets were lovely and clean. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Especially the breakfast brunch. We felt thoroughly spoilt ! Great, Safe bbq grills to cook on. We definitely recommend staying there. Thankyou Judith, and your lovely staff for making us feel so welcome

Stunning place, a Really a lovely find. Myself and my children had a wonderful time here and didn’t want to leave. Toilets and shower facilities were clean, the “beach” and stream was lovely and kept my little ones happy all day.
Lots of open space, we could choose where we pitched our tent. Animals were great to have around, kids loved how cheeky they were with the food! Daughter loved feeding the horses.
We borrowed fire pit too and were able to get wood from the forrest which was.
It was a really lovely wholesome, relaxed weekend. Will be returning!

Quiet and simple natural site, toilets and showers are impeccable and the sink is so convenient for washing your equipment.
Next door is the erpingham Farm and you can get access to a fridge / freezer and a shop with local produce. Thank you Peter!

The fields are huge and the views are great. Atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Families seemed as happy as couples and single travellers. Lovely clean shower, toilet and washing up facilities - made with love! Just be prepared for strong winds and a field that is mostly not level. I very much enjoyed my stay!

This campsite is absolutely perfect! The pitches were tidy and spacious so you didn’t feel on top of other campers. It was picturesque, peaceful, private and clean. The showers were pretty immaculate and honestly gave Soho House Boutique hotel vibes. From a couple who love luxury as well as the outdoors this was a perfect mix. Would (and have) recommend to anyone!
