Situated on 160 acres within Exmoor National Park, campers are encouraged to take advantage of our relaxed, rule-free approach allowing you to pitch wherever you fancy. Sheltered corners and wide open spaces are aplenty suiting everyone from couples to large groups. Panoramic sea views greet every patch of our working farm while CAMPFIRES and DOGS are actively encouraged.
If the views bring you, it's the inclusive facilities that'll keep you. Two blocks contain 10 toilets, 7 unlimited hot showers (try these!), laundry, washing sinks, fridge/freezer & a microwave. There are also freshwater standpipes in each field and a chemical disposal point.
However, sometimes a shower doesn't hack it. That's where our converted stone Barn Café comes in-complete with Wi-Fi & charging points. Open all day every day, 'The Barn' provides an oasis away from the elements, where you can enjoy everything from breakfast in the garden to dinner by the woodburner. If DIY campfire cooking is more your style, we also have a fully-stocked farm shop onsite providing all the essentials & much more too!
Drinks? There's only one choice... a pint o' Caffyns cider. Homegrown on our 3000-tree strong orchard, located next to the campfields, our apples go from picking to pinting without leaving the farm. From sweet to scrumpy varieties there is no better way to try this land's fabled beverage than in our cider bar.
For the adrenaline junkies, onsite horse riding allows you to sample Exmoor's scenery from the saddle. Catering to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, our range of rides (1hr-3hrs) gives everyone the chance to explore with a discount given to those staying with us!
Wandering through Caffyns acreage will introduce you to some of the other friendly farmyard 'locals'. Goats (Hint: Goat Cafe?!), alpacas, chickens, turkeys & sheep are all dotted throughout the farm on the way down to the South West Coast Path on our farm's perimeter. The nearest beach is a 20min walk away (Lee Bay) while Lynton & Lynmouth are 45mins.

This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Fabulous 3-field site, fantastically located and very quiet after the August Bank Holiday. Cleanest showers, toilets and guest hut with very friendly and helpful hosts. I'd say more, but it's supposed to be a secret.

5 nights at Surf Pods and Camping at Atlantic Farm
Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

We loved the open, spacious and quiet camping spots at Goren Farm. The showers were hot and the toilets, communal fridge and sink were clean. We went to the farm shop and cafe on our last day and had scrumptious food. Cheese scone with extra cheese and brie panini. Yum! We are going to come back to camp again and definitely for the Goren Children's festival next year! We went to Tukers Arms on the recommendation of another review and loved it. Also the Beer Light Railway is worth a visit. :D

This campsite introduced me to 'quiet camping' - I was concerned that it could be 'too quiet' for my daughter, but the barn (which is fully equipped with games, tables/chairs, and a little shop/bar) provides a central place where everyone congregates throughout the day. Totally geared up for peace and quiet, being out in nature, yet some dedicated features not typically associated with camping (compost loo, fire pit, picnic table and water tap for each pitch was a dream!).
And the hosts were friendly, full of fascinating facts and good conversation.
Would highly recommend, I'm looking forward to heading back next year.

What a wonderful find. Relatively close for a camping site to lots of local amenities and all of the wonderful opportunities that Croyde, Saunton and Wollacombe offer for jut getting out there and calling. The campsite is well maintained and good value. Steve is so knowledgeable and informative and will guide you through what to do and see.

Julian's flower meadow campsite is a beautiful place to relax surrounded by wild nature. The children loved it too. We saw delicate deer crossing our meadow while eating breakfast; ate lunch while a fledgling buzzard tested the thermals above us encouraged by its parents and watched bats and owls while sitting by our campfire toasting marshmallows.
The on-site cafe serves tasty paninins, sumptuous cream teas and lots of gluten free options - or just an icecream. Alison is a welcoming hostess, she even made us gluten free cheese scones even though they weren't on the menu.
Totally recommended. We can't wait to go back!

Quiet spaced out plots; feels like you are the only ones there most of the time. Clean, basic facilities (composting loos, gas heated showers and a washing up station).

This is probably the most open and tranquil campsite I have ever been on!
Little Smokey AKA oak had to be accessed by foot after parking the car, no more than 100 meters, BUT it’s absolutely worth every step.
At the compost loo and shower block is a fridge to cool whatever is necessary to you, may I suggest some of the Goren farm cider that can be purchased. The cider contains no nasty additives, no sulphites which lead to no hangover’s (that third statement might not be accurate, so don’t quote me on that one :-) There is also a phone charging station, but may I also make a suggestion for you to do a digital detox and absorb yourself unto the surroundings. This was a family holiday for us, and it’s great to connect with your teenage children in the absence of phones and adding a fire pit (logs available at the farm shop)
I do not know my birds to list what I saw, but I saw plenty of species (saw wrens and heard the twit and twoo of a pair of tawny owls)..
There is wonderful walking in the area (we are East Anglian’s, so the whole area was stunning for us).
With no light pollution, star gazing is a must if you haven’t seen the sky at night in those conditions. We set our alarm to get up at 1:00 am.
We treated ourselves with a delicious cream tea for the journey home. Jam on top of course in Devon.
Sad to leave, rarely do I go back to the same campsite (it’s a big world to see out there), but I may make an exception with this one and return another time…..

I loved staying at Bowehayes Farm.
The setting was peaceful and very unique. You have all the facilities you could ask for, including the best shower I've ever used at a camp site!
Howard was very friendly and helpful, I'll definitely be back.

4 m pop-up camper
This is a lovely quiet natural campsite in wildflower meadows and woodland, there's loads of space between the small number of pitches and just enough facilities. It's fairly dark there so good views of the stars at night! We live locally and have been to visit the farm before (we like the traditional farmhouse cider made on site) and took the opportunity to come and stay and had a really nice time.

Beautiful campsite in a wonderful rural location and brilliant to have a whole field to ourselves. Ideal if you’re after more of a wild camping experience but still want a warm shower and a few amenities. Julian was a great host!

Weekend Trip to Willow Valley Holiday Park
We had a lovely stay in the school bus! It was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming on arrival and always about should we have needed help during our stay. The campsite itself was lovely and quiet, the facilities very clean and well maintained and a useful little shop should you need something! Would definitely recommend this stay to others - thank you!

Campsites with WiFi in Bellever Forest guide
When to go
Summer, especially July and August, is peak season in Dartmoor National Park and popular spots such as Bellever Forest can get crowded—get there early to snag a picnic bench. Forest walks are enjoyable at any time of year, but autumn is particularly beautiful, with its rainbow of fall foliage. Dartmoor weather is notoriously changeable, so bring your raincoat and something warm, even in summer.
Know before you go
- Bellever Forest is located in Dartmoor National Park, a 5-minute drive south of Postbridge. There are pay and display car parks (payment by card only) at Bellever village, by the entrance to the forest, and at Postbridge village, a 1-mile walk.
- Both car parks have restrooms, but there are no other facilities, so bring everything you need with you. The closest village is Postbridge, home to a pub and a few small shops.
- Some walking trails at Bellever Forest are accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
- Dartmoor has free-roaming ponies, sheep, and cattle, and these animals have right of way on moorland roads. There is a strict speed limit of 40 mph throughout. It is a fineable offence to feed any of the animals in the park, and visitors are also advised to keep a distance for their own safety—these are feral animals and may kick or bite.
