The Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks is an actual barn, located on a little farm, complete with farm animals! Goats, chickens, peacocks, ducks, and a pig live at the other side of the barn. The Barn is located on a one acre lot, shared with the host's home. I give guests privacy while they are here, but I do come out to the barnyard twice a day to feed and tend the animals. The property is very close to many outdoor recreation areas such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and Canaan Valley where visitors can rock climb, hike, zipline, ski, etc, etc! *Adults aged 18 and older only, sorry no exceptions. The property is pet friendly for a charge of $10 per pet, per night (to be left in cash on departure). In the Barn is a Queen Bed, sitting area, TV with Netflix, Bathroom with hot water, and small cooking area (coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle, electric stovetop, toaster, and small refrigerator.) There is also a gas grill on the deck. All towels & Linens, and Basic kitchenware included.

Welcome to our Island Farm! We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins. Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

We really enjoyed our time with Vince at Brooklyn heights. Campsite was nice and secluded with plenty of shade and trees to hang a tarp. The site had a firepit and they had firewood for sale, but we opted to just use our solo stove and wood chips we brought from home. There is no picnic table so remember to bring a folding table. The toilets are just porta-potties, but they were kept very clean. There was a sink for washing dishes which was convenient. Overall we really enjoyed our time with Vince and the other camp hosts and hope to be back soon :)

This renovated barn was everything we wanted - it's very clean, well equiped, and beautifully apointed. The hosts were friendly, asking if we had everything we needed when they saw us. The farm animals are wonderful - a cute as can be pig, goats, chickens, a rooster and more. While the barn isn't isloated on the property, we definitely felt like we had our own space, indoors and out. Thank you so much!

We went on a beautiful hike with stunning views, spent a relaxing afternoon playing on the beach by the river, and met some awesome, friendly people during our stay. Great campsite and a ton of options depending on what you're looking for. If you have kids, you can't ask for more, as the campsite sit on both an easy to bike road and a placid part of the Dry Fork of the Cheat River to play in -- would be great for inner tubes when it's warm. The campsite was very quiet and tidy and they even had a coffee station, which was very appreciated. I will definitely be back! Vince is also a very welcoming host and checked in a couple times, which is always great.

Love this campground. Vincent was really helpful, upgraded me to a cabin when weather looked rough. Really beautiful area, right on the river. There is a nice communal sitting area and a communal fire pit. Lots of different types of sites, something for everyone.

The campground is nicely situated in a valley away from public eye. We were the only ones staying at the primitive tent site for two nights. The campsites are nicely nestled within tall trees that provide plenty of wood for the fire. The campground does offer firewood for a great price. Unfortunately we had brought our own wood, but there was also plenty of wood to forage for and we ended up leaving a nice pile for the next camper. Watch for small branchs and twigs falling. The wildlife viewing was pretty awesome and the night sky was great for stargazing. Dont forget to bring a hammok for your site. Highly recommend this location. PS, very clean toilet!!!!

Great camping spot! The site are close enough to go with friends and not a far walk but far enough for privacy. Spot one is the close to the outhouse! Beautiful river front view! Will definitely rent again since it’s only 2hrs from Pittsburgh! My son also rented his own site with his friends! The host came and offered to go get some hot dogs for them as we weren't there yet with food. The firewood is $10 a bundle.

Brooklyn Heights Campground is a fantastic place to stay! The campground is well-maintained and very clean, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The host was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive to guests’ needs. One thing to note is that it can get quite windy, so be prepared if you’re tent camping or setting up an awning. That said, the price was very fair for the quality of the facilities and hospitality. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway!

Mountaintop offers superb stargazing, swimming, fishing, hiking, strenuous mountain biking, camping, serenity, peace, and connective nature immersion. There are currently three sites: the MountainTop Cabin (sleeps up to 4); the Retreat Cabin (sleeps up to 4): and the Fern Grove campsite (sleeps up to 4). You can book a cabin or the campsite for your family, or the whole place for a small group by booking each site--that will ensure privacy. Last year we hosted wellness retreats for small groups at this little oasis tucked in the mountains of gorgeous West Virginia. No running water, we will have two 5 gallon jugs of water at cabin. Sleeps up to 5 people. Has a full bed with linens provided in the bedroom. Cabin is .8 of a mile off of Jordan Run Rd. and is around 5 miles to the entrance of forest rd 75 and 2 1/2 miles to entrance of forest rd 19. Has beautiful mountain views from above cabin (see pictures). Can see the top of dolly sods from cabin. Has a propane wall heater and wood stove for chilly nights. Fire wood is provided. You can hike or bike on roads on the property. Glamping on Timber Ridge

Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you! Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement.
